Run by the forbidding divorcée Carolyn Knapp-Shappey (an unfortunate marriage, namewise, but in Carolyn's opinion, marginally better than Carolyn Shappey-Knapp), her two pilots are the smooth, experienced, and almost-certainly-fired-by-a-big-airline-for-all-around naughtiness Douglas, and struggling, almost competent Martin. All-round help is provided by Carolyn's near-idiot son, Arthur.

"Even Better....."
This shows that series 1 was not a fluke. This is even better. The games the crew play to stave off boredom during flights are truly inventive and are really funny signs of how tedious life can be. If you haven't heard this or series 1 yet what are you doing? Buy this now, download it immediately and listen to it over and over again to catch all the comedic nuances. Like I said of series 1, you will not be disappointed.
"First Class Comedy"
Cabin Pressure is a real gem - very clever, beautifully written, wonderful characterizations, superbly voiced by a top class cast and most of all very, very funny. I have lost track of how many times I've listened to these two series, but it has never become jaded - love it every time.
"Fabulous"
Cabin Pressure is fabulous. John Finnemore should be locked in a room and made to write Series 3, 4 and 5.
Deep Trouble is another one of his outstanding comedies.
They lighten my dark days.
"Best R4 comedy in years"
Beautifully written and acted with thoughtfully constructed plots. It couldn't be done with anyone other than Roger Allam (his voice is perfect). The storylines are always convoluted and clever and it even makes my husband laugh out loud and he is someone who's not fond the spoken audio word.
Roll on the next series.
"Plenty of laughs"
Cabin Pressure is fantastic! Even if you're not interested in aviation, it's a great sitcom about a group of people who are stuck with working together. If you are interested in aviation, it's even funnier. Series 1 is (I think) the funniest, but you'll still laugh out loud!
"Utterly Brilliant"
Many’s the time I’ve been walking to work listening to this and got odd looks, because no matter how hard I try I just can’t help but laugh out loud. Cabin Pressure is one of the best Radio 4 comedies I’ve come across. If you’ve never listened to it then it’s good to start at series 1 as you’ll get more of the jokes, but even if you just picked up here at series 2 you would still be laughing yourself silly within a few minutes of pressing play, I guarantee it.
"Excellent comedy with laughs and rye smiles"
This is the second series of a superb UK radio comedy series. Based on an air dot ('to have an airline you need more than one plane!') the crew strive to make money using Gertie often spending time entertaining themselves and sometimes at the expense of their customers. The Faulty Towers of the air?
"Hidden pleasures"
This features a fantastic cast, one-liners to die for, it is simply the best comedy to have been on Radio 4 for years. My advice, buy it now!
"Please buy this!"
This series has brought my family so much fun and laughter! I relisten to it often when I need a bit of cheering up and it doesn't fail to deliver. If you are dithering over whether or not to buy this then please just do yourself a favour and go for it!
"Season 2 builds on Season 1"
Those who loved season 1 of Cabin Pressure will love seasone 2. Just as funny, with characters that are just as real as in season 1.
