Zoey is finally home where she belongs, safe with her Guardian Warrior, Stark, by her side, and preparing to face off against Neferet - which would be a whole lot easier if the High Counsel saw the ex-High Priestess for what she really is. Kalona has released his hold on Rephaim, and, through Nyx's gift of a human form, Rephaim and Stevie Rae are finally able to be together - if he can truly walk the path of the Goddess and stay free of his father's shadow.
But there are new forces at work at the House of Night. An influx of humans, including Lenobia's handsome horse whisperer, threatens their precarious stability. And then there's the mysterious Aurox, a jaw-droppingly gorgeous teen boy who is actually more - or possibly less - than human. Only Neferet knows he was created to be her greatest weapon. But Zoey can sense the part of his soul that remains human, the compassion that wars with his Dark calling. And there's something strangely familiar about him....
Will Neferet's true nature be revealed before she succeeds in silencing them all? And will Zoey be able to touch Aurox's humanity in time to protect him - and everyone - from his own fate? Find out what's destined in the next thrilling chapter of the House of Night series.

"Here we go again..."
So as usual there's the punch up, calling of the circle, just in the nick of time and the lovey dovey babble, but get past the predictability and you'll enjoy it.
The plot is finally on the move again, where the last few books have felt like fodder to get the series through all 12 books, this one actually engages you. It's a good listen as long as you know the back story.
We meet a new (ish) character called Aurox, and similarly to Erik, Heath, Stark, Prof. Blake and every other guy that ever had any sort of attraction to Zoey, he is drawn to her and 'feels' when he's around her...
Give it a go, it is good, despite how I seem to have only said bad things, I did enjoy it as I have all of the series. :)
"Good Book"
I have enjoyed all the books this series which was introduced to me by a friend. I didn't think I would enjoy these books as I don't tend to enjoy vampire books but these are different to books such as Twilight (which I didn't enjoy). So, I am looking forward to the next book, Hidden and the many novellas about the different adult vampires.
"A great series of vampire novels"
If you like the young adult Vampire type books, this series is for you! However, them keep changing the narrator is annoying, you just get used to one voice for the main and other characters then they change it! Only bad point I can make! Other than that it's great.
