"Another riveting book from the Nick Stone series"
Liberation day is a fantastic listen. The thing that makes these books so good is the attention to detail and the feel of realism Andy Mcnab portrays. I find that Clive Mantle does a great job with the different voices in this book.
A lot of this book is set in the south of France, I have visited there, and the descriptions of the place and how Nick Stone's character immersed himself in the area really brought me back.
If you like the other Nick Stone stories, you will like this too
"Not the best Nick Stone story"
I love the Nick Stone character and have listened to many other stories of the character but found this one a little difficult. There was a very thin plot and too much detail about the mission. It felt more like a scripture of dialog between three people in an interview.
The story really did pick up in the last 2 hours of the book. I would say this has been the worst Nick Stone book and am glad I only used a credit for this and not paid money for it.
The narrator is excellent and you really feel for the character in places.
"liberation day"
i realy loved andy macnabs liberation day, i found the book exiting, frightening and enthrauling. the plot was very good and in more than one part i had a little cry when some of the charictors met there ends. i would recomend this book for most people but if you hate violence then don,t read theese books. the narator for this book did the book justice, and i enjoyed him reading to me.
"worth a listen"
It is an important book to listen to if you have heard the previous Nick Stone books in order. I found it compelling in parts and desperate in others. The different personal interactions he has with a large and various groups of people is good and very believable. These books are a great listen due to AMs fine descriptions of his surroundings or immediate situations, well narrated by Clive Mantle who brings the books to life.
I found Liberation Day was good but not one of his best. This does not stop me from having other Nick Stone books or any of AMs books in the future.
