"Wonderful in Every Way"
If you've not heard of Zig Ziglar you are in for a treat, Zig is an amazing speaker & will keep you entertained, make you laugh, make you think & make you look at your own life. This man is speaking from experience & from his perspective on life. I never thought I'd be able to listen to this audio book with his Southern accent, yet, I fell in love with the accent & his words of wisdom. He can get carried away and forget where he was, yet, he'll end up to what he wanted to say. Again it's a book that is well worth the read, it'll make you think & encourage you to motivate your life.
"Real down to earth guy"
In Zig's down to earth style, these lectures 'rock' with common-sense ideas that are fast becoming uncommon. I only wish that Zig would remember that he is not only talking to Americans - but to people all around the world - that way he would have tried to explain concepts and slangs that only Americans would understand.
However, the Audiobook is a great source of motivational ideas.
"A bit Preachy"
Starts off really well, but then get a bit preachy and biblical. Loses momentum and i found myself drifting thinking of other things whilst this was playing in the background - sounds quite dated too.
"Stand up comic & career manager rolled into one!"
A collection of old Zig Zigar tapes in put together in a new format. Zig is one of the original fathers of the personal development industry. You laugh your head off at his humor whilst learning valuable life lessons.
"excellent"
I really enjoyed this audiobook.loved the accent.Great life stories.worth a listen to in my opinion.
"Brilliant. Amazing."
I have listened to this three times so far. I say so far, because I will listen to it time and time again. It keeps me focused, it keeps me grounded. What an amazing man Zig Ziglar is. I find myself quoting him often and it always makes people laugh.
His technique is to entertain whilst you learn but with a strong, clear message. Not easy I'm sure, but he delivers it so well.
I highly recommend this. Even if you don't think you need to, you will find it beneficial, I'm sure.
"Common Sense, Straight Talking and Good Humour"
I came too late to Zig Ziglar; only learning of the great man after his passing. I had always meant to listen to some of his stuff but never got around to it. An Audible trial was the ideal opportunity to try it out and I have been delighted with it (both Audible and this recording). Zig's common sense, straight talking and good humour makes listening to these recordings an absolute delight and he has me driving around with a smile on my face as I listen to his Southern drawl via my car's bluetooth device for my iPhone. This is my first time listening to Zig's stuff and I do not know the extent to which this compilation is repetitious, but as a newcomer it is tremendously good material and you get a huge volume of it in this one item. Zig was clearly a very religious man and this comes across very strongly in his talks; this may not be to everyone's taste but as with everything Zig does he carries it off very lightly and in a very charming way which I did not find overbearing despite the fact that that was not what I was listening for. I'm only about halfway through this bumper set but I have no hesitation in recommending it very highly.
"Your own personal Dicky Fox"
Ever watch the film Jerry Maguire? Know how the film is split up with words of advice and inspiration by Jerry's mentor Dicky Fox? Well Zig Ziglar was a real life Dicky Fox. It's an audiobook of advice from the great uncle you never had, or the guy in a bar in a strange town you wish you'd meet. There's nothing new here. Nothing which in many ways isn't blindingly obvious. However, it's uplifting, motivating and heart-warming. A great buy.
"Fun, inspiring and motivational! Great stuff"
As a coach I have recommended this audio programme to many clients over the years, all of which have loved it. Great for motivating yourself, for building confidence and for developing a great PMA. I have listened to it many times and still hear golden nuggets that I either didn't hear before or had forgotten.
