Learn another language the way you learnt your own.
You learnt your own language naturally and enjoyably: now you can learn Russian in the same way.
This is the first two hours of the eight-hour Russian Foundation Course. Join teacher Natasha Bershadski and two students in a live lesson and within the first hour you will be able to construct simple phrases. You will learn the language with the students, hearing both their successes and their mistakes to keep you motivated and involved throughout the course.

"Best russian course ever!"
English not being my native language it may sound strange that I choose an English language course to teach me another foreign language, but as I use English as much as, or even more than Norwegian, I've long since started thinking and dreaming in English, basically becoming bilingual. Having had two other Russian courses I do have some experience with the language, but haven't had any luck in really absorbing the language as a structure for my thoughts. This course is different, however. Having read, or listened, through this introductory course twice, I've already started to think in Russian a bit. I am therefor looking forward to entering the next level in learning to speak Russian.
The method used in this course is far superior to other language teaching methods in existents for someone with an ear for language to be unable to learn the language by heart, and should make even the slowest learner able to learn a foreign language.
If you need, or would just like to learn another language, choose a Michel Thomas Method course!
"Who said Russian was difficult?"
I love the way this language is taught. You get caught up and don't realise you are learning! This method is the secret weapon for anyone wanting to learn fast but without the pain
"the easiest way for the beginner"
Having tried various new languages with audio materials I find the Michel Thomas method is much the easiest and most enjoyable. Some language courses have you hear two native speakers having a conversation. I found this utterly daunting even if it is broken down afterwards. The 'live' classroom setup of the Michel Thomas method makes for a much easier way in. I have been learning Russian, a language I knew nothing of, and find I can make progress easily. Natasha Bershadski is very fluent in English and has a pleasant voice -- important when you're going to be listening to hours of it. I prefer her teaching the MT method to Michel himself ! She is infinitely patient with her two students whose efforts you hear at expressing themselves in the new language. I found the fact that they make mistakes helpful, as we English speakers tend to have similar problems to each other with foreign languages. You always hear the teacher say the phrase at the end of each question-answer and the contrast with the students' pronunciation helps to improve your own. Try the free sample if in doubt!
"Great crush course"
I got it for my boyfriend who has just started learning Russian. After listening for this course for just one time he surprised me by sending a text message in Russian. And it was not trivial as well. He said that he found this course very useful and that it helps to use limited vocabulary in very efficient way. He regrets that there are no courses beyond beginners.
I chose this course because I used M. Thomas course in Spanish and also found it extremely helpful.
