You can run from the grave, but you can't hide. Half-vampire Cat Crawfield is now Special Agent Cat Crawfield, working for the government to rid the world of the rogue undead. She's still using everything Bones, her sexy and dangerous ex, taught her. But when Cat is targeted for assassination, the only man who can help her is the vampire she left behind.
Being around him awakens all her emotions, from the adrenaline kick of slaying vamps side by side to the reckless passion that consumed them. But a price on her head-wanted: dead or half-alive-means her survival depends on teaming up with Bones. And no matter how hard she tries to keep things professional between them, she'll find that desire lasts forever and that Bones won't let her get away again.
Jeaniene Frost, New York Times and USA Today best-selling author, lives with her husband and their very spoiled dog in Florida. Although not a vampire herself, she confesses to having pale skin, wearing a lot of black, and sleeping in late whenever possible. And while she can't see ghosts, she loves to walk through old cemeteries. She also loves poetry and animals, but fears children and hates to cook.

"Proving that her first book was no fluke, Frost ratchets up the action and stirs up the suspense big time in her second Night Huntress novel. That said, it's the sizzling passion of her star-crossed lovers that really makes this book a genuine keeper!" (Romantic Times)
"This series is only getting better...between the exciting action scenes and the rekindled romance between Cat and Bones, I did not put this one down until the last page." (Coffee Time Romance)
"One Foot In The Grave"
I've been looking forward to listening to this book for a while. I snapped it up as soon as it came out and finished it in a day. This is the second book in the Night Huntress Series and is every bit as gripping and fast-paced as the first. It was great to see Bones again. For someone like me who's read a lot of vampire fiction, he really is a breath of fresh air. One thing this book had over the first was that the Author seemed to have a better idea of when detail became too much detail. There were a couple of times in the previous book when I was given more information than I wanted, especially during some of the fight scenes. I didn't find that this time round. There were a couple of stomach churning moments, but as they were necessary to the story I could cope. The sex scenes were few as usual, which I like, though one was a little on the explicite side. All in all, if you like your romance with a healthy dose of action and vampires thrown in, this book is for you.
"Brillant"
A thrilling series of books that keep you on the edge of your seat. Very entertaining to listen to. Read so well that listening to them with ease whilst gripped by the story.
"A 'sucking' good book"
I loved this book. for some reason i missed the fact that it was part two in the series but that did not matter, after finishing this book i listened to the next just wanting more! i normally go for Zombie orientated books but had a listen to this after listing to Jenifer Estep Spider Assassins Series and Kelly Meding's Three days to dead. i am glad i did. It has Love, Fights, Supernatural and good one liners! i love the way Tavia Gilbert voices the people.
