Dull, dull, dull!!

Listened to the 1st book then this, after the 1st i was hoping it would improve, but it doesnt. They are nothing like the series, the narrator sounds like shes talking through a cloth on top of which she is very dull and the story never seems to get going. MY humble opinion stick with Sookie Stackhouse!!

Good grief

I agree with a previous reviewer, dull, dull, dull ! ! Book 1 piqued my interest, by the middle of book 2 I wanted the heroin to die as soon as possible lest she contaminate the human gene pool as one of stupidest most lack-lustre heroins of all time.

I think that this is an almost unbearably bad book. The description of the lead character's thought processes and the minutiae of her actions reduce the books pace to that of drying paint. GOOD GRIEF ! The Sookie Stackouse or even Merit books are Umberto Eco by comparison.

The TV series in this case is, in departing completely from the original story, doing us all a great favour.

Weak

The entire book is kinda weak, it becomes lame, it circles around Elena and how weak she is, it doesn't have much action, and Daemon, well...he becomes an even great jurk and becomes more and more annoying. The last three chapters becomes interesting, but that's all

Good read.

Took a while to get used to the narrator and her accent of the brothers it annoyed me at first. There's no point in comparing the books to the TV show as there are completely different. I enjoyed listening to these books and will continue to find out what happens next.
Great story so far.

Excellent!

I love these books. I started out watching the tv series and have been hooked ever since. The way the book is written makes you feel like you get to know the characters. The audio version is well narrated and makes the story much more exciting. I like the Italian accent used for Stefan and Damon that you don't get in the televised version. The story, as always, is exciting and fun. I would definitely recommend this series of books!

The saga continues

This book picks up where the first book ends. The characters face fear, danger and trial in this superb sequel. A must-buy for anyone who loved The Awakening. These books won't make much sense when read separately and out of order, so buy the whole lot and enjoy!
