Definitely one of the best YBs so far
My kids and I love the Young Bond series- action, excitement and exotic locations. And we were so pleased to hear that more were to be written (if slightly worried that the change of author would disappoint). But really, this is one of the best and I can't wait for the next.

The story felt lost in an unnecessary amount of violence
I have over the past couple of months listened to the complete set of young Bond books and thoroughly enjoyed them.
Then came a change of author, which seemed to be well received, so I looked forward to the latest in this gripping series, however the prolonged and gruesome violence seemed at times endless and did very little to enhance the story.
I realise that I’m am not the target audience but these books seem to have appealed to a wide range of diverse readers as they were well written, and exciting without the need to give way to relying on too much violence to ‘add’ excitement until this final ( to date ) book.....How sad.

Pretty good but not as good as previous YB books
Worth getting if you are into this series but I did not enjoy this one quite as much as the previous books. I felt the author was trying a bit too hard to make it action packed and this became a bit repetitive.

Ruthless thrill.
The series never ceases to amaze. Yet another stunning performance from Parker and yet another explosive plot line that shocked and rocked me to the core. A stunning listen

Not as good as the books that have gone before
Steve Coles first Young Bond, and it's not as gripping as Charlie Higson. To be honest it's starts well and finishes OK, but it's accident quite boring in the middle. I'll give Steve's second a listen, but I'm not young to hold my breath.

Keeping the story alive
Follows on perfectly from the Higson books. Maintains the perfect mix of action and humour. I love these books and feel they fit well with the current film portrayal.
Perfect presentation also. Narration calm and powerful. Stylish. Gorgeous.

Could NOT ask for more.
This book was absolutely fandabbiedoze. I was really like wow hold up will this new kid 'Steve' be as good Charlie but he was. As always Nathaniel is definitely excellent and I do love a cheeky listen. It's good for the ears!

Young Bond at his best!
If you could sum up Shoot to Kill in three words, what would they be?
Action, nerve-wracking and thrilling
What other book might you compare Shoot to Kill to, and why?
The Serpents Shadow by Rick Riordan because they have similar levels of action and excitement.
Have you listened to any of Nathaniel Parker’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Yes, Nathaniel Parker uses his voice brilliantly to bring the story to life.
Any additional comments?
Took a while to buy this book because it wasn't by Charlie Higson, but actually it's every bit as good as one of his.

Passing the baton
What made the experience of listening to Shoot to Kill the most enjoyable?
Hearing more from the Young Bond series, established so brilliantly by Charlie Higson. Nathaniel Parker is the ideal narrator for this series.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Boudie (sp?) because she's an excellent foil to Bond, and a good, fairly rounded character.
What does Nathaniel Parker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
He's excellent, and I think the transition from Higson's style to tgat of Steve Cole was made smoother by having the same narrator.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Every shot counts? I don't know...
Any additional comments?
That last question was daft. The audiobook, and the whole series, are great.
