"Insightful and true." (Irish Times)
"Exceptional...both heartbreaking and uplifting." (Daily Express)
I thought the ending was disappointing leaving too much unresolved and sorry but if I hear the phrase 'my heart was racing in my chest' once more I might scream 😊 otherwise really good concept
This book had me gripped from the beginning. It gave me chills and was a harsh story. I couldn't stop thinking about this book when I was busy with other tasks. This story will live with me in my mind for a long time.
I was gripped the whole way through such a brilliant story definitely one of Cecelia's best. Only problem is I don't think I can wait a whole year for the sequel!!
Wonderful story, makes you think and wonder about life. Beautifully read. However, feels a little unfinished. I understand that the author wanted to leave things kind of open; and although there was a conclusion, but the ending was a little sudden, abrupt.
I utterly loved this book. The plot was transfixing as you never new what was going to happen. The characters r likeable and in some cases detestable but it made the book even more enjoyable. The concept of the plot definitely makes you think about what would happen if the flawed system was made a reality. I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes a gripping read with many twists and turns. My only criticism is I don't feel like the book description shows how amazing this book is
The book was slow to start, great during the middle then ended pretty abruptly. However it will be one of those books I'll never forget. I love Cecelia books and despite this not being one of my favourites it still is a good story.
This is one of those books you simply have to keep listening to and I finished it within three days. The world building is quite interesting and new and loved every description of it. Will be checking out book 2 as soon as it's released. Please keep the same narrator her delivery was excellent.
