Cast out by her kingdom and far from home, she's the Kanin people's only hope. Bryn Aven - unjustly charged with murder and treason - is on the run. The one person who can help is her greatest enemy, the gorgeous and enigmatic Konstantin Black. Konstantin is her only ally against those who have taken over her kingdom and threaten to destroy everything she holds dear. But can she trust him?
As Bryn fights to clear her name, the Kanin rulers' darkest secrets are coming to light... and now the entire troll world is on the brink of war. Will it tear Bryn from Ridley Dresden, the only guy she's ever loved? And can she join forces with Finn Holms and the Trylle kingdom? Nothing is as it seems, but one thing is certain: an epic battle is underway - and when it's complete, nothing will ever be the same...

I love a book to transport me to another time, place or world! The saddest part is when a series comes to an end.
A beautiful but harsh ending to the story...you fall in love with all Amanda's characters in every book she writes...don't miss out on this trilogy
I love Amanda Hocking stories and these don't disappoint. What was a struggle was the narrator who mispronounced the name Niamh in all three books and spent much of the story either using the same accusatory voice for the main character or making the males voices sound as if they all had a cold and were rather dumb. I will read her books now rather than listen to them if this narrator is used for future novels.
"Content not for young readers"
Book was good but with the language and sex I would not say it is suitable for young readers. It is listed for ages 11-13 but the content is not appropriate for 5-8 graders.
great book. but why did they have to put curse words in this one. I almost stopped reading it because of that. I hope if they have a nook 4 they will skip the bad language
I only had 2 problems:
1) I thought the fact that Ember died was a terrible choice.
2) Astrid Equell's death was also bad in my idea not because she died but how.
"Language changed from the first 2 books."
The language changed in this book and dropped the F bomb frequently, so I stopped listening to it. Too bad the first 2 were pretty good and I wanted to finish the story.
Only if the language was cleaned up.
"Pretty good, just a couple of negatives"
I really liked the series and it was all good up until the the chapter got too risqué for my taste and I sure would not want my 16 & 17 yr old reading it now. Which is a bummer because it's a great story. I think it could have been written w/o so much detail when Bryn and Ridley hooked up before the fight...
"I enjoyed my time in the Kanin Chronicles"
All in all, I liked the series (three books as far as I know at this time) and enjoyed my time with Bryn Aven. The story moved along at a good pace, created characters and a world that was well rounded and interesting. The plot was well developed, intriguing and provided a satisfying ending for this story arc I wouldn't terribly mind taking another adventure with Bryn!
"G R E A T Ending!"
Overall this series is my least favorite by Amanda Hocking. I don't know if it just didn't hit me at the right time or what but I didn't connect with these books as quickly as I had all her others.
However, there is a huge payoff by the end of this book and I shutter to think I almost didn't make it. If you are feeling a little fed up and board by the end of the series PUSH THROUGH the end is fan-flippin-tastic.
As thd title of my review says, the book was absolutely amazing. The characters were so vivid and the war, so suspenseful. The one tjing I disliked was the abrupt way the book ended.
This book was an improvement in comparison with the previous ones. It still had some predictable parts but had some that were better.
Good story and performance. Not as great as the Trylle Trilogy, but still very good.
