Fifty years ago, the Commander came into power and murdered all who opposed him. In his warped mind, the seven deadly sins were the downfall of society. He created the Hole, where sinners are branded according to their sins and might survive a few years. At best. Now LUST wraps around my neck like blue fingers strangling me. I've been accused of a crime I didn't commit, and now the Hole is my new home. Every day is a fight for survival. But I won't die. I won't let them win. The Hole can't keep me. The Hole can't break me. I am more than my brand. I'm a fighter. My name is Lexi Hamilton, and this is my story.

"Branded was a riveting and exciting dystopian read that will have you at the edge of your seat." (Ben Alderson, Booktuber at BenjaminofTomes)
Not my normal type of book I would read. Was recommended to me by a friend. I loved it and would recommend it. I sat reading this book with screams of No's and cry's of Yes. I fell in love with Cole, Lexi, Bruno, Alyssa, Sutton and of course Zeus.
The whole story is well written, shrouded in elegant suspence with just a touch of romance. I enjoyed Lexi's victories and shared in her sorrows. Though, be prepared, once Branded sucks you in, you never want to leave the world of the Hole. You will be engrossed even to the bittersweet end.
You have been warned...
"The Best Ending! I want more!"
The first half of this book was really dark and some creepy moments too. Luckily I was already invested in the characters and wanting to see where this bizarre story was headed and I'm so happy I did! The last few chapters were crazy...and the ending was really well done. I'm highly impressed with this book and I can't wait for another!
"Trashy romance in dystopia"
I got this book based on positive reader reviews. I was bitterly disappointed to find that this book is a trashy romance full of repetitive 'I can't live without him', 'my heart leapt at the sight of him/sound of his voice', 'I shuddered at the touch of his hand' type of diatribe. The dystopian setting (the reason I chose the book) was poorly constructed and underdeveloped and the characters were one dimensional. The conclusion is rushed and unsatisfying. Not my idea of a good dystopian story. The narrator wasn't too bad though.
"Tears at the end"
I hate writing reviews but I wanted to put it out in the universe that this is an interesting concept and could really go far as a series. Can't wait to see what's next!
"Absolutely Fabulous - great narrator"
Yes, loved the narrator. She was brilliant, wonderful to listen to & very entertaining.
I loved Cole, he was sweet, living and protective. Plus he comes with a canine protector too, Zeus.
Her voice is so easy to listen to and the way she changes tones for the different characters was awesome. I even grabbed another book narrated by her because I loved her so much.
It would have to be the main fight scene towards the end. When they all confront the Commander. That was very emotional.
"Don't Do it. Just Don't Do it."
If the writer actually cared about good writing. These sentences could have been written by a middle school kid for an end of the year project.... There's a 5 minute scene over a dog farting.
"Fantastic, Draws you in!"
Amazing, gripping, intense, leaves you on the edge of your seat! I loved it !
"Amazing & Thrilling"
This book was awesome I was on the edge of my seat the entire time! I would definitely recommend!
"Amazing amazing book! MUST read !!!"
This book was amazing I couldn't stop listening! The performer was also great! This book is exactly what I was hoping for!
I was skeptical that this would be like the spin off books of Hunger games, or Divergent, it is not! It is a great story about love, conflict, captivity, it has every angle. I am thoroughly impressed and cannot wait for the sequel!
