"There are really two games, the one you see and the one you don't. The way I see it, the best way to use access to both worlds is to illuminate and reveal, not idolize and adore. It's better to be wrong than to be played for a fool." - Colin Cowherd
In this age of billion dollar athletic marketing campaigns, "feel good" philosophy with no connection to reality, and a Sports Media echo chamber that's all too eager swallow whatever idiotic notion happens to be in vogue at the moment, it's tough to find people who aren't afraid to say what they're really thinking.
But that's where Colin Cowherd comes in. As his millions of fans on ESPN Radio and ESPNU already know, Colin is the rare sports analyst who's brave (or crazy) enough to speak his mind-even if it pisses some people off. Of course, it helps that a lot of what Colin has to say is simply hilarious. Lots of writers can tell you about Boston's storied sports history. But how many can tell you why the city of Boston is America's five year old? Lots of writers will brag about the stuff they got right, but how many will happily list all the calls they got completely and utterly wrong? Whether he's pointing out the stupidity of conspiracy theories, explaining why media bias isn't nearly as big a deal as many assume, or calling out those who prize short term wins over sustainability, Colin is smart, thought-provoking, and laugh-out-loud funny. Some of the questions he's not afraid to ask in You Herd Me! include:
Unapologetically entertaining and packed with behind-the-scenes insights you won't get anywhere else, You Herd Me! is unlike any other sports book ever written.

"Great book, Repeats majority of themes from radio"
No, great book but no need to listen again.
I listen to Colin Cowherd's podcast religiously and have gained a ton of insight on life and sports from his perspective. I think he is the most thought provoking personality on radio and made me reanalyze many aspects of my personal and business life. The book is essentially a condensed version of all the themes of his radio show so I would recommend it to anyone who is interesting in American sports or bettering themselves.
"Interesting for sports fans"
I thought this was an interesting book it was fun to learn some new things about the sports world. I really liked listening to Colin read, he does a fantastic job. I believe avid sports fans or Colin Cowherd fans would enjoy this this book.

"Colin Cowherd at his best!"
I've always loved Colin's radio show for his insights...not for the sports. And this, in my opinion, was way better than reading the book for that very reason. Nearly 8 hours of Colin's take on life, sports, society...I loved it!
I enjoyed the insights provided in this book by Colin!! The perspective was refreshing and welcome.
"Gotta love the Cow!!"
Colin, gives it to us straight, & I love him for it… no matter what the subject, he holds nothing back, & the Cowheard truth is always fun to listen to!!
Dennis Miller, "The Rants"
If you like his talk show, you'll love the book. It's chapter after chapter of his opening rants. Insightful, with a different perspective on many topics regarding sport, politics and life.
"Looking forward to more work"
Thanks for this piece Colin. Great work. A pleasure for anyone who wants more after the opening 11 minute daily rant on your show.
"Addicting Opinionated awesome"
This completely met my expectations. This was great. It felt like I was completely watching him say it. Great performance.
"Worth the read / listen"
After Dan Patrick, Cowherd is a clear #2 in my book in regards to sports talk radio. I laughed out loud several times during this audiobook and thought that Cowherd a good job as the narrator.
A few reviews I read previously said that it was redundant from his radio show. I guess if you call discussing sports redundant, then yes.
Will pick up his next book if he ever decides to write another.
