From the best-selling author of Golf Is Not a Game of Perfect, and the preeminent golf psychologist to the game's top players, comes the defining guide to mastering the enormous challenges of chips, pitches, bunker shots, and putts.
It is no secret that more than two-thirds of the shots a golfer makes are shorts ones: putts, chips, and pitches. Long drives may garner applause, but whether a golfer wants to win the Masters or just five bucks from a friend on Saturday morning, it's the little shots that make the difference.
In The Unstoppable Golfer, Dr. Bob Rotella takes the same wisdom and experience that have worked for clients like Davis Love III and David Toms to help you master this special art of short shots and avoid all the frustration out of this increasingly challenging element of the game. Requiring extraordinary levels of concentration, the short game is typically a source of fear for amateurs and pros alike. Here Dr. Rotella teaches listeners how to overcome that fear by using their minds to achieve a state of calm in which focus is on one thing alone: the hole. In addition, he explains the science of memory and how knowledge of the brain's workings-especially those areas that deal with physical tasks-can markedly improve a golf game, particularly when it comes to getting out of a bunker or taking the measure of a long putt.
For casual and dedicated golfers alike, a better short game provides one of the ultimate pleasures of the game-a pleasure they will come to know by training their minds with The Unstoppable Golfer.

Enjoy Golf as much as I can, either playing, practicing, reading or listening to books to improve my game. I also enjoy mountain biking and
The pace of the book is just about right, It breaks down your game into logical easy to follow steps. Some great analogies of great Pro's and how they approach the game, and how the Doc has helped them to make the breakthrough to becoming a Major Winner.
If it works for the Pro's, it has to be of help to an amateur player.
He brings the book to life in my opinion, his voice and the pace of the book is first rate.
Chapters 2 and 13 by far the most moving of all chapters for me
If you are serious about improving your golf. You have to listen/read this book. I am seeing results already by staying in the moment, and not getting in my own way.
I'm a new golfer and I thoroughly enjoyed how Bob presented this book. The stories were quite encouraging and made me want to go out and practise.
Good book for the amateur golfer on how to think about your short game to play better golf
"Not my favorite"
Using appropriate examples and references.
Any of the Zen Golf books.
I am not a fan of his style. In other words, I am not buying what he is selling.
Disappointment and anger.
To be honest, I only made it through less than 1/4 of this book. He started to lose me when he used for examples, quotes by Madonna, George Lopez and Beyoncé. Seriously. If that is who or what he considers quality individuals to demonstrate an example, then he has nothing to offer me. I finally quit when he went on to defend Bob Knight. Perhaps these folks will be positive influences for you, but I had no interest in hearing more.
"Good for first time readers"
If this is your first Bob Rotella book I think you will find it informative, motivational and an enjoyable read. I have read 2 or 3 of his previous books and found this one to have the exact same information only with some updated examples and a new title.
If you've read one you have read them all, but for a first timer wanting to improve your mental golf game, I would recommend it.
"Excellent advice for any golfer"
I love the ideas presented in this book. They are perfect for my game. Get out of your own way. Go unconscious. And just play your game.
"Great for every golfer"
if you play golf you should read this book. it is worth every single minute
"Better than his others"
Versus his other books and audiobooks, this one has much more, better, and helpful insights and suggestions for the reader or listener to follow and try and commit to. The other books and audiobooks I've heard from the other were more story telling and less advice.
"Rotella at his best ..."
Rotella is always the best "checkup from the neck up" for any golfer. The lessons of "Not A Game of Perfect" with updated spin and new phraseology. Lose some of the magic after a few years, this brings it back.
Dr. Bob not only gets to the heart of the matter of golf, but of modern life itself. The importance of self image relates to all people. You become that which you imagine you are. Well done.
"The book helped my game"
The day after listening to this book I won a club tournament. I followed the author's advice on putting unconsciously and just kept sinking them. I let myself feel confident and have fun and it worked! I'm amaEd but intend to stick with Rotella's philosophy
"well presented and very helpful in all aspects "
love it. and it was very helpful in all aspects of the game of golf
Dr Rotella's advice is right on. Can't wait for golf weather to try it.
Highly recommend this as well as his other books
