Downloaded over 10 million times a year, The Football Ramble podcast has established itself as the essential independent voice of football punditry. The weekly podcast has resonated with supporters around the world, and their sold-out live shows have been a massive hit with supporters. This audiobook is a collaboration by all four presenters and tackles the real issues from fans you won't see or hear on Sky Sports - or anywhere else, for that matter.
From the weird and wonderful, from the Alan Pardew to the Kevin Keegan, the Ramble has it covered. Putting all aspects of the game under the microscope, this book is a timely reminder of why we just can't take our minds off football.

Absolutely Fantastic book wonderfully educational with great humour throughout!! Thoroughly enjoyed the chapter about referees I have a more respect hugely after hearing what they have to go through. Exceptional book if you love football this is a must listen.
This is probably the 8/9th football orientated audiobook I've listened to, and it's in no doubt that it is the best. I am already familiar with the Football Ramble foursome having listened to their podcast since around 2009, this book is a brilliant twist on the insight and opinion found within their weekly uploads. The factual references and comedic delivery are a brilliant homage to the DWHOF, whilst also giving us a new perspective to view the inner workings of the four. Brilliant listen, will definitely indulge again. For those whom are not familiar with The Football Ramble, do your ears a favour and not only download their book, but also give their podcasts ago. #shamelessplug
Avid listener to the podcast and the Ramble boys delivered a 5 star performance.
The personality of each shone throughout the narrative and the individual writing/talking styles was refreshing and kept me attentive along the journey.
Book 2 better be in the making, until then the twice weekly musings of Marcus, Luke, Jim and Pete will keep me entertained!
Took a bit of time to get used to it being (obviously) scripted but it's a great listen with some great facts and details. Sad when it came to the end. A genuine book written by big fans of the game. Love the history the anecdotes and the Wankdorf.
Shame Marcus doesn't do a topic but it's a really good book overall.
football for adults
The depth of research that has clearly gone into it
The history of football narrated by Jim
No, my legs would have gone numb.
The only thing that keeps it from being 5 stars for me, is Pete's voice. I like Pete on the podcast, and I like yoghurt, but all his speech on this audiobook is like he's reading one of his radio adverts. It's in the same way as Ross Kemp's narration often grates on the listener, or how Clarkson has the same inflection at the end of everything he says. I found myself willing his part to end, which is a shame, as it was good stuff and he's a funny guy, just difficult to listen to for me.
Very informative in a non-preachy manor. Although Pete appears to be doing an impression of what he thinks someone reading a book should sound like, instead of just reading the f*cking book. Very odd intonation indeed. The others sounded natural and wholly listenable.
It was good, not as funny as the podcast though. Still I enjoyed it very much.
The book is very Anglo-centric as would be expected considering the authors. Don't let that stop you from giving this book a listen. It's a funny, entertaining and informative exploration of soccer/football culture, personalities, history and passion. I know some of the jokes are lost on me as an American, but that didn't stop the Ramble from being an awesome book.
You're all slugs. Pete Donaldson, Marcus Speller, Luke Aaron Moore, Jim Campbell. Slugs. The lot of you. Take my money. Slugs.
"F * * king brilliant!"
Love the podcast, love the book. I enjoyed every bit of the audiobook, thanks to the ramblers for making this happen and all of your hard work and research here and every week to keep the rest of us sane!
Who doesn't love a book read by its authors? Excellent history chapter as well as the Ramble's take on the many facets of the beautiful game. I loved it.
That what football do to ya!
