    "Ramble at it's best"

Absolutely Fantastic book wonderfully educational with great humour throughout!! Thoroughly enjoyed the chapter about referees I have a more respect hugely after hearing what they have to go through. Exceptional book if you love football this is a must listen.

    "Fantastic content"

This is probably the 8/9th football orientated audiobook I've listened to, and it's in no doubt that it is the best. I am already familiar with the Football Ramble foursome having listened to their podcast since around 2009, this book is a brilliant twist on the insight and opinion found within their weekly uploads. The factual references and comedic delivery are a brilliant homage to the DWHOF, whilst also giving us a new perspective to view the inner workings of the four. Brilliant listen, will definitely indulge again. For those whom are not familiar with The Football Ramble, do your ears a favour and not only download their book, but also give their podcasts ago. #shamelessplug

    "Rambling to a new level"

Avid listener to the podcast and the Ramble boys delivered a 5 star performance.
The personality of each shone throughout the narrative and the individual writing/talking styles was refreshing and kept me attentive along the journey.
Book 2 better be in the making, until then the twice weekly musings of Marcus, Luke, Jim and Pete will keep me entertained!

"As good as the best of the podcast"

Really funny and somewhat informative. If that's not the highest possible praise for a book partially written by Pete Donaldson I don't know what is

"exactly what you expect, even with Pete!"

4 lads who love football, it comes through clearly. excellent references and talking points. if there was one criticism, it's that they ignored some areas of the game, but this can always be addressed in the second book ey lads?!

Not their best stuff but the boys are always good for a listen. Grass roots chapter was spot on.

    "Best Football Book Ever"

As a lifelong fan, former Sunday League player, and now grassroots coach, much (arguably, too much) of my life has been dedicated to the beautiful game. And during this time, I've read countless books from autobiographies to coaching styles. This is my first all round book that looks at so many different aspects of the game. Each chapter is written and read by one of the 4 "Ramblers" and looks at everything from the origins of the game, to managers, fans. international football, and so on. I don't agree with all of it but I certainly relate to where the Football Ramble's emotions and love for the game come from. Each chapter is wonderfully written and entertainingly read, each with a brief introduction from Marcus, the Football Ramble host. Although, Pete Donaldson could treat it a little less like an ITV2 voice-over at times. Whoever your team is, whatever your experiences of the sport, I can't recommend this book enough. insightful and entertaining - pop, bang, lovely.

Hilarious and informative I started listening to this on a run and left it on completing it in 2 sittings. Chapter highlights referees and Sunday league.

    "Podcast On Steroids"

A unique take on football literature. Completely different tone to The Football Ramble podcast. The ramblers talk in turn on some great topics, with more detail than you'd get on the podcast. Funny, informative and opinionated (but not odious). Divisive topics are discussed fairly and substantiated. Given the pace that football is evolving and the scope for further debate, I hope there is a follow up.

    "Delightful!"

The book is very Anglo-centric as would be expected considering the authors. Don't let that stop you from giving this book a listen. It's a funny, entertaining and informative exploration of soccer/football culture, personalities, history and passion. I know some of the jokes are lost on me as an American, but that didn't stop the Ramble from being an awesome book.
