    Story
    "A little short"
What did you like best about Zombie Fallout 3.5? What did you like least?

It was good to hear from some of the other characters whom play a part in the Zombie fallout story and very interesting to hear exactly how the virus began and although it is a typical [in Zombie story terms at least] 'roll your eyes at how stupid people can be' approach, it is a little different. Learning the reason for the zombie virus is probably reason enough to listen to this book although why it is 3.5 not 0.5, I'm not sure, you could read this one at any time during the series I think.

If you do read this one in order, between book 3 and book 4 [as I did], there are just enough familiar and unfamiliar references to keep things interesting. I strongly dislike reading spoilers in reviews so I'll keep this as generic as possible. The main new character in this book with the annoying moniker - Dr. Hugh Mann [p'shaw] is a real outsider, so incredibly rude and dismissive of all other people, very driven, to the point that his health and well-being suffer greatly, only his daughter and 'his' cat have any chance of ever getting any sense out of him and even that is a struggle. It is very interesting to learn about his small family particularly his son-in-law to be, one of many people the good doctor seems to constantly forget about as soon as they are out of his sight.

Other, more familiar people also appear in parts of this book, some in slightly different ways to that which we are used to, others exactly as you like them.

Overall, if you are a fan of the ZF series then you really have to have this although at just under 3 hours, if you buy on audible, don't use a credit, that would be very poor value.

If you’ve listened to books by Mark Tufo before, how does this one compare?

This is clearly a Mark Tufo book, if you like his stuff, this won't change your opinion, if you don't, why are you still reading this?

Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Like most people who enjoy this series on audible I believe Sean Runnette is Talbot, I can no longer imagine him with any other voice. If ever a movie is made and the main character does not sound like Sean, it would be a major disappointment.

Did Zombie Fallout 3.5 inspire you to do anything?

Yes, I immediately went out and bought a microscope...

    "Nice addition"

I love the Zombie Fallout series and this little book is a great side story addition. It explains how ZF came about and gives more of a back story to Mike Talbot. Well worth buying.

"Asking yourself... "Is 2.75 hrs worth a credit?""
    Any additional comments?

The short answer is 'NO', this is not worth the credit to me. It 'should' be a gift with books 1-3 or a prologue to Book 4. It feels like a total and complete cash grab.

    So, I paid the $10.
I did spend the first 15 minutes wondering if I downloaded the wrong book. It manages to sort itself out and is an odd, but nice back story addition to the series.

When I completed chapter 1 of "ZF4" I appreciated "ZF3.5" a little more and felt it was a "must read' for me as a part of fully enjoying the series.

Perhaps, I'm picking nits..but I still don't see it as a good value. This novella capitalizes on Tufo's readership unfairly...

    "Pretty Good!"

This was a break in the storyline from before, in the same vein and world of course but in a different time. This one happens years before the first three and tells you what happened to bring about the inevitable Zombie invasion. It was done very well, writing, narration and all. I find this title necessary actually if you want to truly understand the entire series.

"Useful background info, but less fun than the rest"

I listened to this book between books 3 and 4. I've listened to all of them now and am anxiously awaiting number six. That being said, while 3.5 gives the reader good background information that I appreciated having while listening to other books, I found myself wishing this book would hurry up and end so I could get back to the Talbots. While that may not translate to such a good review for this particular book, to me it speaks volumes about how much I've enjoyed the rest of the series.

Also, I'm not really sure I like the Hugh-mann storyline. It's just a little out-there for me. It's just not as cool as the rest of the story. My thoughts were, "Tiny people? Really?"

    "Good Back Story"

If you have listen to the Zombie Fallout series by Tufo then this is a good history to how the plague got started. What is particular interesting, you get some insight to Tommy. So yes this is a must read/listen to the Tufo series and yes Sean Runnette does an excellent job.

    "Skip it"
Would you try another book from Mark Tufo and/or Sean Runnette?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

I love the rest of this series but I would skip this one. It didn't have much to do with the rest except it was the ancestors of the main character - 1918 or so I think. Meh...

    "Just plain Clever"
If you could sum up Zombie Fallout 3.5 in three words, what would they be?

    Just Plain Clever

Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I honestly believe Sean Runnette is perfect for this book and the Zombie Fallout Series. I looked forward to both the books by Mark Tufo and the performance.

    Any additional comments?

I have completely enjoyed the Zombie Fallout series, and although dubious of this one I understood why it was written. I found Dr Hugh Mann a strange and awkward character, hard to fathom but that is I suppose why he is a good character - but not a good person.

If you like the Fallout Series, this is a must listen

"Anorher great addition to the series!!!"
Where does Zombie Fallout 3.5 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

What a great prestory to this series... :)

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love how Mark Tufo connects this series together so easily.

What does Sean Runnette bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

We can't have a Michael Talbot without Sean Runnette!!!

    "Strongly recommended reading!"
Would you consider the audio edition of Zombie Fallout 3.5 to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print version as I have fallen in love with the dry humour that is Sean Runnette's gorgeous narration :-)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Zombie Fallout 3.5?

For me, it was when Thomas appeared at the door with his goods. It sent a shiver up my spine!

Which character – as performed by Sean Runnette – was your favorite?

Hard to say really. He does each character justice!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I don't think this book is long enough to be a film but definitely think it is required reading/listening before continuing to Fall out 4.

    Any additional comments?

    You'll love it !

What about Sean Runnette’s performance did you like?

Great performance just like in the other books in the series.

    Any additional comments?

Just a little to short. There is so much back story to tell.
