The first episode of the Z Walkers series!
Collin thought this would be an in and out operation: break in to a poorly locked house while the family is on vacation, then slip out with their cash and jewelry. It should take him a few hours, tops, and he can't wait to take out the girl who caught his eye in style with his new score.
Little does he know that getting in will be a whole hell of a lot easier than getting out.
Midway through his heist, the screaming starts. A quick look out the window confirms it: zombies have hit idyllic suburbia. Years of playing post-apocalyptic video games should have prepared him for this, but nothing could have ever taught him how to react when the cannibalistic hordes descend.
Barricaded inside, he faces two options: starve in the house he tried to rob, or make a run for it on streets crawling with zombies.
Can he make it to safety before it's too late? Or will he end up just like the other mindless zombies beginning to fill the streets only one thing on their mind....
NOTE: This is the first episode of Z Walkers, a serial novel. There will be cliffhangers, and Zombies, from one installment to the next. Listen at your own risk...or delight.

"I LOVE ZOMBIE STORIES!!!!"
Zombie Apocalypse Yay!
That Collin was doing something wrong and karma got him! lol
No, but I would..he was good to listen to!
I did laugh, because Collin kinda got what he deserved and he was funny!
** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **
I like a zombie story, the genre is great, and almost every one you read is pretty good! This has Collin a cat burglar...who breaks into peoples houses to support himself and is basically in the wrong place and the wrong time...and BAM Zompacolyse!!!! Kinda Karma! lol I enjoyed this quick story, it was cleverly written and narrated well! Worth a listen and I will continue this mini series!!! :)

"Short and sweet?"
This not a book. There you have it. It is a PART of a book, and a good part to. 1 hour (and 1 min) of a story. Luke Shephard is good, and i want to hear more, so i guess he got me. Honestly: This story is to short! There you have it, and i mean that in a good and bad way. I got this story for free, but would i pay $4.86 for it? Yes, i would but i must say i still think it is short for that price!
Luke Shephard is maybe giving you a nibble of a longer storyline, and i have personally nothing against that, but i still think Luke Shephard could have given us a BIT more. So it is not like i am saying :Don't get this, no. I just saying: Know what you get! You get 1 hour of fun, and if you want that almost 5$ is more then okay!
Ben Kass, what can i say? I love your voice work! It is one of the best i have heard in a wile! It is at right level, and the voices are normal. I am so happy you are not making more voices, because that would not fit this short! Ben Kass you are now one of my favorite narrators!

I enjoyed the way the zombie apocalypse started on a manicured lawn. The story, from the perspective of the main character, Colin, is a nice touch.
I don't want to say much about the character because I don't want to ruin the story, short as it is; but, the way the story is written, you start to like Colin and want to know where the story will take him.
I'm interested to see this done up as an audio drama with sound effects.
This is a great start to a series and being an hour long will keep readers engaged for the long haul. The narrator also helps to keep the listener engaged as he gave the story and the character exactly what it needed, depth.
"Great narration, witty and highly entertaining"
Witty, entertaining, attention grabbing
Ben does reactions very well, it felt like I could almost "see" the characters reactions. Like the "WTF" situations Collin runs into MANY many times
a had a few chuckles

"Short but worth the listen"
Z Walkers Episode 1 is a good introduction to a zombie series. Its starts a little slow with the listener meeting Collin and hearing his reasons for petty burglary. Quickly things go south and we are trapped with him in the house he has burgled hiding from zombies. The story is any interesting listen and keeps ones attention for the hour. The narrator gives a good performance and conveys the character well. I'm not too keen on short serials, but i'm interested in where the story goes from here. Let me tell you that this is a short story but the rest will come. If I'm not mistaken the second part is available on Audible now. Although, this story is short I still think author Luke Shepherd did an amazing job with writing this story. I did receive this story free but yes I would've paid $5.00 bucks for it all the same.
Ben Kass did a fantastic job with his telling of this short story and his voice fit the story
perfectly. I can't wait to hear more from both author and narrator. Overall, a perfect 5 🌟 rating!

"Good start to a Zombie Apocolypse story"
I enjoyed the classic zombie tale from the perspective of a young man that broke into a house to rob it.
Collin, he was the only living character.
I enjoyed the scene where Collin goes on a hunt for food and find himself in a situation he hadn't expected.
Would be thief finds himself in the middle of a Zombie Apocalypse. Can he steal his own life from the hands of the undead?
