Publisher's Summary

From the early 1900s right up to Z-Day, the Grove Park Inn was the place for the affluent to stay when vacationing in Asheville, NC. Everyone from F. Scott Fitzgerald to President Barak Obama stayed at the Grove Park. Artists, actors, diplomats, masters of industry, all called it a temporary home at one point or another. But that was before the zombie apocalypse.

Now the five-story stone, brick, and wood luxury inn is home to a different element. An unknown element. A heavily armed element.

With Whispering Pines being rebuilt, Jace "Long Pork" Stanford has nothing better to do than find out who the newcomers are. Well, while he's not busy dealing with the ever present Z hordes. Or running for his life from paramilitary mercenaries. Or possibly blowing up more of the zombie-infested city because he can't help pressing buttons. Buttons are meant to be pressed, even in the apocalypse, right?

Looks like it's just another day in Z-Burbia!

    Story
"Action and Humour what more do you need?"

Jace the main character continues in his best sarcastic form. The last 40 minutes made me wet my pants from laughter!

After the first book which I loved, I was worried that the second in the series would go in a direction which would ruin the ‘fun’ factor. However, the opposite happened. The fun factor went upwards. This story is a mixture of ‘adult comic book’ style violence and the Seinfeld show.

This book also continues the tradition of having an ending which causes me to wonder where the author is going to take the next in the series. I certainly did not expect the last few minutes of this one!

The narrator once again does an excellent job with the multiple characters. Just like almost every other title of late, the listening speed can be increased. 1.25x speed was easily listened to.

I enjoyed book 2 so much I purchased the third in the series before I even finished this one. I said in my review that the first book was in my top ten. But this one is in my top five!
While many people talk about Mark Tufo’s Zombie Fallout series as being great, I would rate this series up there as almost an equal. I can highly recommend this one!

    Story
    "More laughs!"

This series is hilarious! The first person narrative has a witty, snarky personality that is impossible not to love. He, meaning Jace Stanford, is sarcastic at the right times, self-deprecating when he knows he deserves it, and a smart ass to the people who seem to deserve it. More than that, in this story Jace shows significant growth by the end. His character is developing into something far beyond what he thinks he is capable of.
Wehrlen continues to be a superb choice to narrate this series, as his voice really allows the sarcasm to drip, ooze, or explode as needed.

"Starting to be a must listen series"
What did you love best about Z-Burbia 2: Parkway To Hell, Volume 2?

alright after the fist book I was genuinely interested. after this one well lets be real Jake Bible is a damn good writer building a good character set. the narrator Andrew B. Wehrlen does an excellent job voicing the many characters. I am so into at this point I'm starting Z-Burbia 5 tomorrow. please please don't stop. I don't know if it means anything but at this pint your my 3rd favorite auther after of course Mark Tufo and John Obrien. this world you've created is among the best out there today. In my humble opinion you are well on your way to greatness. so please keep the stories comming. and thank you for what youve done so far

What does Andrew B. Wehrlen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

his way of giving voice to the characters, idiosyncrasies and the interactions between the people they have created. he brings them all good and bad to life. and not just read them.
he give the characters individuality which to me is as important as the writer himself.
    they team up well together

    Any additional comments?

keep writing!!!!!!! I think you have a gift that should be shared. you give me the escape I need to not be over whelmed by my own life. a good story that you can root for, can help me and other a bit of escape so when we get back to real life we can feel a bit less stressed and handle our real lives. so thank you for allowing myself and others the chance to escape for a while.

    Story
    "Part 2: $h!t gets deeper"
Would you consider the audio edition of Z-Burbia 2: Parkway To Hell, Volume 2 to be better than the print version?

I listen to audio books on my commute, so audio is perfect for me.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoy that the story of our intrepid gang grows with new characters and developing scope for the post apocalyptic wasteland of what was the U.S. Part 2 has made it clear that I will have to follow the story to its end, because we just have to see what crazy shennanagins Jake Bible will pull in this story, how much Jason and the others will have to endure, and where the grizzly end will actually be.

Have you listened to any of Andrew B. Wehrlen’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Only on book 1 of this series. I think his performance is better on this one.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh, it made me laugh out loud. That is not an easy thing to do in a zombie apocalypse.

    Any additional comments?

Jake Bible writes the kind of popcorn eating entertainment that you can enjoy in huge helpings. Try out his other stories like Deadmech or The Americans.

    Story
    "Jace - You are annoying"

Other than his occasional annoyingness it was a great book. I hate his zone out BS when faced with anything from what to eat to a heard of Z's ten feet from him. I'd think the protagonist shouldn't also be the antagonist. If these are clones I will BS so disappointed, they are so overdone. On to book 3.

The humor sarcasm and normal zombie fare .

Jason and his family, Ell and Critter, Big Daddy.

Too many times they trip, don't hear the zombies, or their weapons are out of reach.
