"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmond Burke...
In this 2nd book of the Wings of Steele series, the adventure continues in Flight of Freedom - with one major difference: Jack Steele's Freedom is no longer the wounded duck she once was. They leave UFW Blackmount Station repaired and retooled, with a complete crew, fully armed and resupplied, ready to hunt.
But life in a busy and turbulent universe is rarely as simple as one would hope it to be. This becomes painfully evident with the complexities in space as events splinter even the best laid plans at home and abroad.
Organized and motivated, the pirates are not to be taken lightly with a growing fleet of freelancers attracted by wealth and fame. In her own right, the Freedom was a name becoming famous... or infamous as far as the pirates were concerned. And that could spell disaster for the Freedom and her crew...
An epic science fiction adventure that reaches from the surface of our familiar planet and the safety of terra firma, to the dark, vast expanse of deep space and distant empires.

Have enjoyed listening to the first 2 books on the series "wings of Steele" and cannot wait for the next two books to be made available to be purchased. I hope that I do not have to wait long.
I can without question recommend this series to anyone who like a good listen and well spoken by the narrator
"Suspend disbelief and have some real fun!"
Unlike TV or movies, the books in this series just keep getting better. Action, adventure, snarky major characters; what more could you want? No spoilers here, go to the publisher's summary for that kind of overview. Just be prepared to enjoy yourself!
KC does his usual remarkable audio performance. His voice and cadence are pleasant to the ear, but it is his vocal interpretations of the characters and ability to bring real depth to their personalities that win the day.
Thank you AudioBook Blast!
When I had turn the audio off could not wait to get back to it.
I absolutely loved this book! Starting book 3 tomorrow! I hope to hear more from this author!
Favorite line from this book... "Stupid people piss me off" lol I use that line daily!
"Good ol fashioned Sci-fi with a contemporary twist"
Story was excellent. A bit of reality suspension even by Sci-fi standards, but that actually enhances it for those who like good old fashioned hero stories. Also, brilliant display of contemporary political issues. I am struggling to wait for the third one on audio book, hopefully with the same narrator. It takes a little getting used to his speed, but it enhances the feel of the story.
"next one plz"
yes the story was fun
i like the idea of carriers is space
yes i liked it
i really wont to listen to the next one
"Another fun book"
This is a fun futuristic sci-fi adventure story. There are some holes in the story, but the narration keeps you involved. It is reminiscent of Flash Gordon and the string of '80 space adventure films.
Good story line good back story with a way to expand in to more books. Can't wait till the next book. I only have a problem with the bad language
"Who is the target audience?"
I remember liking the 1st book (of course that was a year and 50 books ago) so when I was looking for an "audiobook fix" I saw this one and thought I'd give it a try. When I started the book I was thinking, "OK this is a Juvenile book but that's alright, many Juvenile books are good and hey I'll make a mental note to have one of my kids give it a try". Then they start with the non-Juvenile cuss words and I decided maybe not.
At this point I'm confused. It has the classic "super advanced alien race who put a lowly human in charge" thing going on for it plus the corny comic book type dialog going on but then a bunch of F-bombs mixed in. So who is the desired audience?
"Better than the First Book"
This book seemed much less sophomoric than the first one. I am not sure why. Perhaps it is the performance of the reader, who really did a great job.
Thus, 5 stars accross the board.
"Excellent Sci-fi Space Opera."
This is the type of Audible series that is fun to listen to multiple times. I own all the Kindle books (Four so far) and of course the three on Audible.
I'm eagerly awaiting number four Wings Of Steele - Dark Cover, four my Audible collection.
My best advice is start with number one and if it is your cup of tea get the entire series. At a minimum get the Kindle book or the Kindle sample.
