Trisha Grove enjoys her job as a pilot for Boswell International, but she realizes something is still missing from her life: her family. She is ready to call it quits and head back home to Wyoming, where her father lives, but her last flight for Boswell ends with an unplanned trip out of this world. Trisha isn't sure at first what's real and what isn't; all she knows is she is determined to get back to her dad - no matter what it takes.
Kelan Reykill is the fourth son in the royal line of Valdier. Commander of the V'ager, one of the largest Valdier warships, he prides himself on his strict self-discipline, his ability to remain in command in any situation, and his skill at handling any challenge. That is until he meets a stubborn human female from the primitive planet his older brother sought refuge on. Now all he can think about is how to get her into his bed and under his control while staying in one piece. But when Trisha is taken from him, Kelan must track her to the ends of the universe and beyond. He knows one thing: She is his true mate, and he will kill anyone who tries to harm her.

I loved this book, It was one of my faves of the serise, as the books go on the story lines get better and better more complex and more sifisticated but yet still understandable.
The characters are always really interesting and I love the way they link.
she has a lot of hurt, Love over comes the hurt though!
Oh I love the sarcasm of the warriors Dragons!
yes I cried at this book, and laughed a lot!
Read the first 5 books :-)
it is grate!
"Awesome Blend of Romance, Sci-Fi and Paranormal!"
S.E. Smith's Dragon Lords of Valdier series is awesome! I love how each story has the perfect balance between humor, action, suspense and steamy sex scenes! The world building and character development is excellent, and all the characters have distinct personalities. I especially like Smith's female characters, they are strong, smart and resourceful.
David Brenin's performance was fantastic. He always does a great job with both the female and male characters.
Worth a credit? A interesting world, full of adventure, action, great characters, toe curling sex scenes makes this an awesome series, and Yes, absolutely worth a credit! Perfect for both Scifi/PNR fans!
I love the entire series. I started with the Cosmos Gateway series and lived the story telling ability of S.E. Smith that I knew I had to read more of her books. Then I got super excited when I saw they were available on audio. I buy each one as it comes out.
"A FUN, SCORCHING & DRAMA FILLED SCI-FI ROMANCE"
IMO, S E Smith can't write a bad Sci-FI book she has such imaginative world and character building that you can't be anything but blown away by her stories of sexy, handsome, Alpha, Alien Warrior Lords from Valdier who can Shapeshift into Dragons and suddenly they find their true mates, after hundreds of lonely years, amongst Earth's women. But these women are never the type of women they're used to - usually the few women on Valdier are pampered, spoilt and totally looked after b*tches but Earth women are strong, clever, independent, feisty and courageous. This makes for a volatile mix when the Warriors find their true mates...... women who are wanted by the man, the Dragon and the loveable symbiotic entity that all makes up a Valdier Warrior..... but Earth women just don't get it, don't want it and won't stand for being ruled over by these domineering Alpha studs...... but desire is their weakness.
Kelan is the Commander of a spaceship but when he finds his long awaited mate it's the Earth woman Trisha who has been beamed aboard when he saved his brother Zoran together with his Earth mate Abby (from book 1). However, Trisha is a Survivorist as taught by her loving Father so she can look after herself and it's not long before she's running rings around Kelan, teaching him, and his fellow Warriors, a thing or two about what she can do to outwit them.... and all the while falling hopelessly in love with naive, loving and patient Alien.
These books are funny, entertaining, very sexy, have parallel plots from the previous books cleverly entwined in amongst them and are filled with likeable characters. There's always a passionate lust-filled 'claiming' where the Lords inject, through biting, Dragon Fire into their mates which transforms the unsuspecting women into Dragon-shifters. But the consequences of this is never explained so Trisha thinks she is hallucinating everything that's slowly happening to her so, while on a Planet, she runs.... with some very ingenious, sneaky and rewarding results. But it's not until she's kidnapped that Kelan realises he loves her and is frantic to get her back. There's a sub-plot of an evil Uncle who wants to rule Valdier and tries sneaky and potentially deadly ways to do it.
Worth a credit? The things that really stand out are the humorous interactions between species which leads to verbal and physical sparring, funny quick witted conversations and, of course, the instant chemistry followed by a romance that isn't exactly conventional but it still works...... well that and lots and lots of fiery sex.
"Good story line"
Got a little tired of the graphic sex but the story line was great. Excellent narrator !!
I was extremely happy with this book and reader. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
"Keeps getting better!!!"
I'm totally hooked....in to the next one. I can't wait to see how the rest of the girls turn out😍😍
"in love with this series."
I can't get enough of this series. I am wrapped up in it so much that I am sad when the story ends. Now onto the next book.
"I Love this series!"
I Love this series of books. Rhis is the second time I've listened to this story. I wish the series would continue!
"A great story!!"
I thought the book was fantastic! I especially enjoyed it when the heroine's baby punched hr dragon on her nose! I laughed out loud and drew a few curious looks, since I was reading the book in a public place!
"If you like an Alpha Male..."
I have listened to or read 6 of the books in this series so far and have enjoyed them. In this, the 3rd book, you will hear a basic retelling of the ending of the 1st book (for the second time). Each book should be told to stand alone, but the first three books of the series rehash the reason these girls are in space, nearly word for word. I think that has to do more with a lack of maturity of the author. After this book, there is hardly a mention of that scene from book 1, thankfully.
Secondly, these males are alpha with a capital A. They don't really think too deeply about what the women in their lives might be thinking, feeling, or needing. Their way is the way things will be done and why would you question them, they are the men! Obviously I'm on my 6th book with this story, so it's not like this is a problem for me, but if you want a man who knows how to speak with his partner, compromise or otherwise hear a different point of view, these may not be the books for you, lol.
They are sexy, they are hot, they are masculine. They just aren't good at communicating.
