"Several improvements in this book."
I have to say all the books in this series have been pretty good. I like this one best so far. That is because the author finally settles in to tell the story and tones down the constant braggadocio about the droods. That was the only real complaint I had with the series and now that it is better this was a pleasure to read.
The narrarator changed, but I like him better anyway. Mr. Langdon has a better range than the previous person and the voices are not quite so cartoony. So, two thumbs up for this one. If you liked the other books in the series you will definitely enjoy this one as well.
"Mr Green keeps up the pace and great characters"
Just keeps on getting better with one adventure after another, great cast in this one
Who wouldn't like Eddie but Walker was on the money also
True when they change readers you never know, but Mr Langdon did a great job.We Look forward to listening to him again
Sorry we are truck drivers and listen on the road. Time won't let us do one long listen. As soon as we can we get back to the story
We are looking forward to the next one. Dennis
"Worth the wait"
New narrator did a great job.
"Audiobook series are driven by narration!"
I would have stayed with Stuart Blinder as narrator. I didn't care for himat first but he grew on me after a couple of books. I am sure Mr. Langdon is a competent narrator, but his voice changed the character of the book series in an unforgivable way.
Stuart Blindor or Marc Vietor
I see that there is yet another narrator change for the next book. I hope his take on the characters is better.
"nightside meets the secret"
Yes the voices are so exciting and brings the characters to life.
I cant compare it to any other book. The series is a one of a kind.
Loved it. He throws himself into the story
I would not want to make it into a movie. Movies are great but imagination is better.
He should narrate all the Simon green syfy series.
"New narrator! GRRRRRRR!"
Its frustrating to have a new narrator in the middle of the series! And this narrator wasn't British and didn't pronounce the main character's secret identities name correctly. and the directing was horrible!
"Nice spy/adventure storyline"
Entertaining, only problem I had was with the narrator.
His voice sounded monotonous at the beginning, improved gradually throughout but voice acting for individual characters was not distinct, leading to confusion.
"well it was still a good book."
it definetly didnt comepare with the last book. but was still a good book ;)
"A Change From The First Two Books"
The first two books in this series had a much more comedic air, on par with The Hitchhiker's Guide, this book was more serious, probably due to the new narrator. This book did not have the pizazz the others had. It t look two chapters before I got past the speaker. If you skip this book in the series you won't miss a beat.
Great book but how did strange go from male to female and now eddie calls him/her ethel after refusing to in the previous books.
