Can the Crystal Shard be destroyed at last? Drizzt is determined to destroy the evil Crystal Shard, and seeks out the help of the scholar-priest Cadderly. But instead, his worst fears are realized, and Crenshinibon falls into the hands of the dark elf mercenary Jarlaxle and his unlikely ally Artemis Entreri.
The Silent Blade is the book that brought Drizzt back to the Realms, and was a New York Times best seller on its initial release - and has been in print every day since. Like the rest of the Legend of Drizzt(R) reissues, The Silent Blade features beautiful new cover art by award-winning illustrator Todd Lockwood.

"Problem with Content"
I have read all of R.A. Salvatore books regarding to Drizzt except for the newer releases. The audible versions I have listened to leave out much of the book in critical parts...The only reason I am able to follow the story line is that I have read almost all the paper copies...it shouldn't be noted as unabridged as it isn't. That is why I gave a three star for overall ....
Drizzt is an awesome Dark Elf...
He is a great
Yes, however; I would not like it to be condensed. Maybe a series of epic movies would be awesome...
I so enjoy this series it has been such a great read it counties to be such an excitement. This series I have so enjoyed
"Another Awesome Adventure"
A triple 'A' title all the way! I started this journey from the very first Drizzt book and with each one I listen to everything just keeps getting better and I keep getting more enthralled and sucked into this incredibly wondrous world. Practically every character that gets written in becomes someone you want to keep track of and remember, there's not that many books I've read or listened to that I can say that about.
If your wanting a lasting read and you can't wait to get your next fix because it's just that good these books are just the ticket!
"Same Old Theme"
I love the Drizzt novels and have recently been following them, and I'm glad I can keep going.
The author seems to bring up the same character battle, the same evil entity in several books now. I love Artemis' storyline, but would have loved him to chill out needing to battle Drizzt several books ago. Also I'm tired of hearing about the Crystal Shard. I'm ready for some new things and this book just felt like one that was done with the same old plot point. Although I will admit I like how it ended and I also love Jarlaxle and his new role.
I love the book and the narrator did an amazing job with the different tones and voices for characters that delved me deep into the story
"love this series"
another captivating story. drizzt and friends always keep you on your toes. a must read.
"Another great adventure"
Once again Drizzt proves his prowess in combat with an old nemesis. We also get to see how Wulfgar struggles in his return to his family. The stories around Drizzt continue on.
"The good and the bad"
If you love Dungeons & Dragons, it can be fun to endure. Salvatores methods can get old though. Bevine is great!
I loved this entire series since the very first book I've listened to. I think Victor does a wonderful job near reading the story and put such great emphasis on each character it is obvious that he takes great pride in what he does. r.a.salvatore I believe is a wonderful author and he created a marvelous series that very paul you in to the adventures of the companions of the hall. It very much brings me back to my days when I first read Dragonlance and the adventures of those companions
The Hammer and the Blade: A Tale of Egil and Nix. has the same vibe.
Victor always does a great job bringing the story to life.
YES! I almost did.
All these stories are Awesome. If you have gotten this far in the series, you already know what i am talking about. Drizzt is an perfect example how there is always an exception to the rule. If you are checking out this story first. It is great engaging story, But if you start from book one "Homeland" i promise you will not be disappointed.
