Today, Shiva is a god. But 4,000 years ago, he was just a man - until he brought his people to Meluha, a near-perfect empire founded by the great king Lord Ram. There he discovered he was the Neelkanth, a barbarian long prophesied to be Meluha's saviour. But in his hour of victory fighting the Chandravanshis - Meluha's enemy - he discovered they had their own prophecy.
Now he must fight to uncover the treachery within his inner circle and unmask those who are about to destroy all that he has fought for. Shiva is about to learn that good and evil are two sides of the same coin....

"Loved the book, hated the narrator..."
The story puts a fresh twist to the Indian mythology, attempting to make it more of a fiction deriving parallels from modern day science rather than pure mythology.
Would have been great if the mythological references were more accurate though..
Now the narrator on the other hand for some reason known only to him, decided to pick the most offensive Indian accent for the characters, that pretty much brought the enjoyment down a few notches.
"best indian novel read so far. pronunciation okay"
best indian novel read so far. so full of emotions but strong storyline. pronunciation of indian words could have been better.
"Amish, take a bow. Narrator, learn Sanskrit :)"
I had read the trilogy several times. Audible experience was equally fantastic.
Although, I must say, narration was not completely blended with the story's environment. It was not bad, it could have been better. His pronunciation was western which, kept me bugged through out.
