I'm absolutely addicted to audio books, I get a lot of housework done when I find a particularly good book! always open to book suggestions!
Matt Haig is a wonderful writer, this book is aimed at children and young adults but that doesn't mean it's not a thoroughly enjoyable read for all ages. Lovely descriptions of the city of York, makes me want to visit again!
I live in the Cotswolds with my wonderful husband, I'm semi-retired and enjoy reading, walking, gardening, knitting and sewing.
Only 27 minutes long, so I bought this one rather that use a credit. A great listen, although rather predictable......good fun.
Will read anything within reason.
I purchased this short story to feed my Matt Haig addiction. (After having read The Humans and The Radleys). Although this is essentially for children it is still a poignant and genuinely creepy tale that can be enjoyed by young and old alike. Perfect for winter listening.
This could have been a really good, spooky and creepy book. York is a great setting for a ghost story since its full of history. Unfortunately I'd guessed the ending within the first few minutes. It was generally well written and well performed but the story itself let it down as it lacked originality.
