Forged for combat, the rock trolls have no equal. They train from birth, endure brutal conditioning, and mark their skin with every kill. They have become the very flesh of war, but their history of honor has been forgotten. Now a bounty has been issued, one which calls for the extermination of their race. To survive they must awaken to what they have lost, before their enemies begin to gather.
Born in the midst of a bloody conflict, Tryton bears a heart of peace. His talent will command respect, but his nature is the true weapon. To wield it he must rise to lead them all - without sacrificing his soul. The fate of his people lies with him, but the seeds of destruction have already been sown.
And the harvest has come.

"Wishing Audible had all 3 books available!"
I plan on listening to the Flesh of War again once the next book in the trilogy is released on Audible.
The main character - Tryton.
Great book. Captivating/new perspective of the Rock Trolls within world of Lumineia, the world that the author has shaped within all of his books.
"Another Awesome Read"
The Flash of War - War Sworn Book One
really enjoyed, this Omnibus collection. The series is, incrediblely awesome.....always leaves me wanting so much more.
The story line has appealing character's, riveting descriptions, an the worlds of the Oracle are mind blowing.
Ben Hale has a great writing style, that project dynamic images into your mind.
Ben Hale, Keep it coming!!!!!!!
the story line was great. the narrator did a great job. I definitely recommend it.
"How I learned to love the trolls"
A coming of age story of war mongering trolls who raise their young under brutal Spartan-like conditions and, one such youth, who decides to change their society to put more focus on the family. Not much intrigue and nuance with this species, more like, "if it walks and bleeds, KILL! (or, darn it!, enslave)"
The writing was excellent and the narration was well articulated and enjoyable to listen to. It was a fun novel and worth picking up the next one in the series.
I liked the story. I felt like the ending could have been drawn out a bit more. the battle was great l, but I felt it was open ended. the performance was awesome and enjoyed the narrator very much.
"great book good"
great story look forward to the next 2 in the series the narrator dose an excellent job over one of my favorite story's of the year
Good book but who's the human on the cover of the first 2 books? the main character is a rock troll and the story revolves around them not any one human.
Great book, I am hooked, unfortunately Audible only has the first book and doesn't carry the the two following books.
"The Flesh of War an amazing!"
I love all of Ben Hales books. And it just keeps getting better. The only complaint I have is that I have to wait for the next book.
"Great Continuation to the Story"
Great character development. Looking forward to more about the Trolls and the stories about Jack . Really great narration as always.
