Publisher's Summary

The Harper witches have grown apart in the 10 years since they defeated Toxanna and Will Brown. Each of them are on their own missions in the magical and the non-magical worlds. However, one by one, the witches are warned of a powerful force that has been unleashed that may also be linked to the death of Chris and Holly's baby daughter. As they fight for answers to this new threat on their own, they soon discover that they have no other options but to ask for help. Unfortunately, family isn't always the first choice for sanctuary.

The Crescent Moon is a bundle of the short stories "Blaze", "Timeout", "Blown Away", and "Deception".

Would you listen to The Crescent Moon again? Why?

Yes beginning with Book 1 to Book 4

    Any additional comments?

This seems to end abruptly, as if there is is more to know, but as yet hasn't been revealed. I hope their is a next book that may give us more insight.
I have listened to the audio rendition of the four books in this series and have enjoyed them all.

    "The Blood Moon Series"

These are some of the best books I have read for sometime ... the story line is so well written that when Mr Netherlands gets his teeth into me ... I have a difficult time getting free .,. the reader is most excellent ... his voice acting puts the listener right there in the story ... as a participant ... highly recommended.. very good read!

What made the experience of listening to The Crescent Moon the most enjoyable?

    The narrator's voice is amazing.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Crescent Moon?

I really wish this wasn't a question that was asked during reviews! I don't want to spoil the book for other people!

What about Nathan Weiland’s performance did you like?

    Characterizations. They are simply wonderful.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Read my response to question two!

    "Awesome Magic in the now"

I loved getting to catch up with the Harper's when everyone is older. I'm a bit sad because it wasn't as long as the others, but I can't wait to hear what happens next. I love the entire using magic in the modern world and how it all just seems so right and everyday.

    "Continuation"

First off, I'd like to say I really enjoy this series. I love the characters and the way they are growing; however, for me this book seemed to drag on a bit. I loved learning what had been going on in each characters life for the past few years, but the story didn't progress for me. When I really got interested in the story and there was some action, it ended. Yes, it makes me want to listen to the next book in the series, but this one on its own felt incomplete.

This review copy audiobook was provided by the author/narrator/publisher free of charge.

    "Interesting"

I received the audiobook free in exchange for an honest review. This was an interesting story to listen to about a family of witches and troubles that are heading their way. The narration was fine This is definitely not a standalone book, the reader could really benefit from having read/listened to the previous three books in the series to understand more of what this family was facing or was being threatened by. However, I did enjoy it just on its own.

    "The Crescent Moon"

An interesting short story about witches and magic. I was very interested in the characters and each of their story lines. The ending was very abrupt and i was looking for more. There definitely needs to be a next book.

    "Interesting short story."
What did you like best about The Crescent Moon? What did you like least?

Interesting characters and magic in the world is what I liked best. The ending was abrupt and needed more explanation.

Would you recommend The Crescent Moon to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes only if I find there is a second book.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Nathan Weiland?

Yes. He did a fine job.

Do you think The Crescent Moon needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Absolutely, because it ended with too many unanswered questions.

Very good reading by the narrator and good stories make this one a nice listen. Entertaining characters and situations structured around magical dilemmas and action. Solid listening choice. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
