There was no warning. No chance to escape. They came suddenly. Naked. Bloodthirsty. Sadistic. They descended upon the Pine Village Apartment Complex, relentlessly torturing and killing anyone they could find.
Fearing for their lives, the residents of the complex must band together. A young trans woman, a suicidal middle-aged writer, a lonely Vietnam vet, a newlywed couple, an elderly widow, a single mother and her son, two on-the-run criminals, and the serial killer known as The Exit. Eleven strangers. The only thing they have in common is the unstoppable horde that wants to kill them. If they are to make it through the night, they must fight back.

Audiobooks are life.
A fast paced, exciting and scary story it was filled with emphatic characters. Plenty of action, plenty of horror.
I can't tell because it strays into spoiler territory. I liked the horror aspects.
This was the first time. He suited the material very well. It was an enjoyable, competent narration.
I listened to it in two days at work. It's short but good.
My first Brian Keene experience. He's got game. The book was hardcore, felt like a purge film.
always love Brian Keene books. they start fast and stay exciting the whole time. listened to this whole book during a work shift. wasn't disappointed

"always love a Brian Keene book"
Brian Keene is my favorite writer and this does not disappoint in the least. 10 out of 5 stars
"Keene in fine form & Williamson is sublime"
If you're a fan of apocalyptic horror in the vein of 28 Days Later, this book will not disappoint. Keene is great at creating fully fleshed out characters that you easily become invested in, which is all the more devastating when they come to a gory end. Chet Williamson, a fine horror scribe in his own right, is stupendous in his narration. Changing cadence and tone to portray characters as varied as a single mom & her son, an older Italian widow & her cat, a black Vietnam vet, a transgender woman and even a serial killer convinced his crimes are protecting the Earth from inter dimensional horrors. A must for Keene fans and a great introduction to those unfamiliar with his works.
"Are you kidding me..."
This book was not scary, I could have wrote a better book! What passes for a scary good book now days is sad.
Don't bother with this one, waste of time. Sorry.
