Summary

Isabella Rose is on the run, hunted by the very people she had been hired to work for. Trained killer Isabella and former handler Michael Pope are forced into hiding in India and, when a mysterious informer passes them clues on the whereabouts of Pope's family, the prey see an opportunity to become the predators.

Chased from the poverty of Mumbai's slums into the sights of a sniper's rifle amongst the lavish wealth of Shanghai, Isabella and Pope hunt fleeting shadows in a race against time. And they can't afford to lose.

The Agent is the third part in a continuing story involving Isabella Rose that also includes The Angel and The Asset.

Ouch!!

The story wasn’t so bad but the narration was painful! Am-dram having a first read through of a script.

The Agent

Lots of people have said narration below usual standard but I don't think so They have also criticised quick ending but again I don't find it a problem.
A good story line with obvious need to listen to next one . I like series so find it OK.
If you like series and an English narration then I would reccomend the books to you

Gripping story, appalling narration

Another great trilogy from Mark Dawson following the rise of a new star at The Firm, Beatrix Rose’s daughter Isobella meets up with Michael Pope ‘Control’ to take on the bad guys. Sadly, unlike David Thorpe’s narration of the John Milton series, Napoleon Ryan makes a complete hash of the storytelling switching randomly between over emphasis, up and down tones and boring, monotonous dialogue causing us to cringe or laugh out loud at his efforts to make the story interesting. Please choose another narrator if Isabella returns as she surely must from this cliff hanger.

Well paced

I preferred this to the previous story in the series. It was more pacy and interesting in content. Isabella Rose is certainly an amazing fictional fifteen year old, shrewd, skilled and learned! I'm now anticipating book four in the series....

loved the story hated the narration

I've read and listened to a lot of books from this author, great stories, gripping and interesting, this particular book was ruined for me by the narration, like a bad Bond villain reading me a story!

Performance

This has got to be the worst audio book I have ever listened to. I have listened to Mark Dawson books previously and enjoyed the narration. Having read the first 2 books in this trilogy I decided to buy the audible version fir the third. What a mistake! I tried to persevere but the narration was so appalling that I gave up. I wanted to know what happened so I ended up buying this final book on my kindle

I will never listen to anything by this narrator again, and I would strongly advise anyone considering it to think again!

Book 3 another Isabella Rose spectacular

It was a great story, Isabella proving to be able to follow in her mother's footsteps and also a likeable character that draws you in. I am looking forward to the next one, WHEN? Can't wait!
