Publisher's Summary

A hardened group of survivors fight back against a zombie plague that has brought down civilization. With the world consumed by a devastating plague that drives humans violently insane, what was once a band of desperate survivors bobbing on a dark Atlantic ocean has now become Wolf Squadron, the only hope for the salvation of the human race. Banding together with what remains of the U.S. Navy, Wolf Squadron, and its leader Steve Smith, not only plans to survive - he plans to retake the mainland from the infected, starting with North America. Smith's teenage daughters have become zombie hunters of unparalleled skill, both at land and on the sea, and they may hold the key to the rebirth of civilization on a devastated planet.

I am just gripped by these books, normally series do have stuttering books but ok only book 4 but so far each one gets better than the last. Can not wait until number 5!

"not as good as the other books"

I loved the other books in this series but this was a let down. To full of acronyms and abbreviations and not enough story about the characters and situations. lots of information that didn't add to the overall story and just not enough plot.

I 'm a scifi/fantasy fan, have been since I was 8, and I love audiobooks for walking the dog, traveling in the car and doing the housework.

"Slightly less coherent than books 1-3"

There is more of a gearshift from book 3 than there was from book 2 to 3, and it seemed slightly discordant once or twice. "Wilkes" previously a very somber character with a fairly stern parental tone in all conversations, suddenly in this book is jocular and, having been reduced from secondary character to background, is acting like a random 30-something. I'm not sure if it's the lines as written or the delivery, but it was jarring in spots. Even so, I enjoyed the book and look forward to any sequel that may come.

    "Good ending to the series."

I wish they would of added more on spots they skipped and less on operations. I was hoping for how they would Intergrate with another large force and what you would you do with people that didn't want the new world to go back.

    "A good place end"

I'm hoping John Ringo ends here. While the book is not bad for what it is. Parts of it at time felt contrived. It really seemed as if the author was trying to force the story to a conclusion. As a fan of many John Ringo books that may not have been a bad thing.

Fun, cool, interesting, action-packed, and unique take on zombie apocalypse. I'm a big fan of John Ringo's books. He writes in a very comfortable style.. he's a good writer.. but he also knows how to throw in great humor mixed with technical detail and hardcore military concepts. Mix Neal Stephenson, Steve Martin, Tom Clancy, and Richard Marcinco... while drinking Scotch and listening to Crux Shadows. He's at the top of my novel watch list.

    "Great ZA story."

My greatest dream realized in fiction.
I hope there are many more books in this series. This story has to be far from over.

"Great end to the series, but is it just me or...."

Did it feel rushed? This series had characters that I really liked and maybe Ringo felt he didn't want to write this series anymore... I personally liked it and felt that book one and two were great. I would say grab this and enjoy it for what it is, an ending.

    "Meh"

thing it it's not a bad series of books but the author seems to have a monkey up his ass about progressive and liberals. to the point where he includes what I can only assume to be his own feelings and views in the mouths of his characters when it makes no sense for them to go off on a tangent. his carless and unconcerned use of the word fagot and his need to make right wing conservatism look awesome compared to left wing libs and progressives often ruins the follow of his plot it's like he had to stop the story to bitch about politics. the series isn't bad and it's entertaining. worth reading once and only once if you can't find anything better to enjoy at the time saddly for me I'm a completipist so I had to ride it out till the last book the first 2 are pretty good the 3rd ok and this last one was a bit of a chore

"Good story, still spotty reading performance"

Ringo is good as ever, but there are some corrections needed. FOD Walk is pronounced fawd walk. Ma Deuce is Ma Deuce, not ma-deuce (2 words, not 1). We sing The Marines' Hymn, not The Marine Corps Hymn.
Tristan still keeps breaking up phrases at inappropriate times.
