Summary
Harry Dresden, Chicago's only professional wizard, is about to have a very bad day. As Winter Knight to the Queen of Air and Darkness, Harry never knows what the scheming Mab might want him to do. Usually, it's something awful.
This time, it's worse than that. Mab's involved Harry in a smash-and-grab heist run by one of his most despised enemies, to recover the literal Holy Grail from the vaults of the greatest treasure horde in the world - which belongs to the one and only Hades, Lord of the Underworld.
Dresden's always been tricky, but he's going to have to up his backstabbing game to survive this mess - assuming his own allies don't end up killing him before his enemies get the chance....

Excellent
thou it starts out a little slow, once it gets going it barely stops. The heist format, your Ocean's setup, works well with a diverse array of new and old characters. The ending showdown is well done and as nerdy as ever.

A truly masterful series.
What did you like most about Skin Game?
It continues the ongoing story and maintains the high quality story telling.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hard to say, they are all integral to the overall greatness. But Harry is a class act.
Have you listened to any of James Marsters’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Not listened to anything else read by James, but I am sure that he will deliver just as good a performance in whatever story he reads. Also very good to finally have all the books read by James Marsters and therefore maintaining the continuity throughout.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Hard to say, all the books are a joy from beginning to end, encompassing all the emotions needed in good storytelling.
Any additional comments?
Just read these, you won't be disappointed!!

Very entertaining
First Dresden book I've delved into. Great action, nice plot, but best of all great characters. Brought to life beautifully via audible.

As with ass dresden file books (and other books written) Jim has done an amazing job, and it's beautifully read by James as well.

The Dresden Files continue to amaze without fail.
The combination of Jim Butcher and James Marsters is one without equal. The writing and performance are the best I've encountered. I can categorically say that the Dresden Files are my favourite audio books due to these people.
