Summary

In the blink of an eye, the world changed.

Danger lurks around every corner.

Captain Jake Phillips wakes in his crash-landed craft and finds Earth transformed into a frightening new world. He faces two immediate threats that will test his survival skills to the limit.

Mutated beings prowl the landscape, hunting humans and searching for the remaining resources. Without a plan in place, the battle will be lost and humanity as Jake knows it will be destroyed.

Sixth Cycle is a gritty post-apocalyptic story of survival and adventure.

Well made audio book of a great story

I loved this book when I read it, so when I had a chance to own it on audio I snapped it up. The narrator does a great job of retelling this cracking sci-fi tale.

Highly recommended

Good storyline and interesting variation on apocalypse tale

Like other reviewers found entertaining and story moved along at good pace. Majority of characters believable but dialogue between them a little awkward at times. Few holes in the plot line but don't let it put you off what is a great book. Listened to a few books by RCBray now and getting used to and liking his style.

Great story

What did you like most about Sixth Cycle?

The story is interesting and engaging. The narration did not do it for me, but still listenable.

Any additional comments?

Could possibly be turned into a mini series.

An interesting listen

An enjoyable escape for a while, not ground breaking but a good story with interesting twists and turns.

Lacking depth

I quite enjoyed the concept behind this - but it is let down, in my opinion, by shallow characters - and unlikely dialogue. I also found some parts unfeasible (aside from suspending disbelief for the obvious - i.e. the story). When I listen to e.g. Joe Abercrombie - I never doubt what characters do and say. In this book, I did, repeatedly.

load another round in the chamber!

good story that moved along quickly, a few twists and good imagination. it seemed that every one was always loading another round in the chamber - you'll understand soon enough...
