From Brandon Sanderson - the number-one New York Times best-selling author of Words of Radiance, co-author of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series and creator of the internationally best-selling Mistborn Trilogy - comes Mitosis, a short story set in the action-packed world of "Steelheart: the Reckoners" series.
Epics still plague Newcago, but David and the Reckoners have vowed to fight back. Catch all the action before Firefight, the exciting sequel to Steelheart, comes to audio.

I get bored quickly so take ages choosing my books. Preferred authors are Sanderson, Rothfuss, Abercrombie, tho' C Harris makes me laugh too
In anticipation of Reckoner's Book 2, I re-listened to Steelheart, and tacked on Mitosis for good measure.
Perfectly in keeping with Steelheart - characters and theme. Macleod Andrews is also absolutely consistent, so the effect is that this could be simply another chapter to Steelheart.
"Short, but perfectly baked" is my verdict. I wouldn't have wanted to spend a whole credit on something this short, but the sale price + an audible voucher I had, made it worth it.
Ready for the next book now.....
I am a 28 year old man who likes to make use of a long commute by listening to sci-fi and fantasy audiobooks
A nice little story to get me back in the mood ready for 'Firefight', the second novel in the Reckoners series. It doesn't really give anything away, or help you to learn anything, but will be enjoyable if you were a fan of 'Steelheart'. It is full of action; the entire story is a fight between the Reckoners and a strong epic called Mitosis. It reminds us how far the characters have come, and how much stronger they are, which means the next novels are going to have to step it up a gear (knowing Sanderson, this won't be a problem).
Was it worth the money? Probably not. You will no doubt make you own mind up about the price though, and if it isn't an issue, you are sure to enjoy it.
Performance - 4.5/5
It's nice to get the same narrator doing the short stories and novellas as the main series. Macleod Andrews is spot on again with this. He has a strong American accent, which suits the characters in this story perfectly.
Great short story following on from book 1. Usual great performance and characters. Love all of his work and now it's time for Firefight book 2 I think?
Bridging the gap between book 1 and 2 this is a nice little novella to give you your reckoners fix. One warning it is very short.
My work takes me on frequent long distance travel. it used to be a chore. With Audible on my phone I frequently wish the flight was longer.
The reconners is not my favourite of Sanders' series. The narration in that particular American accent is not very pleasing to the ear...
it is a cool story, with a interesting twist on the idea of superheros and their place in the world. Not my favorite sanderson stories, but still very interesting and engaging. I got to the end and wanted more.
The ending, just want to know what will happen next
Not wanting to spoil it but it is when the hero falls into darkness, to save them.
when the suoerhero just wants you dead
An excellent listen between Steelheart and Firefight. Covers that part of the storyline I felt was missing when I jumped directly to Firefight. Was just way to short.
