Brandon Strayne. Brilliant computer programmer, businessman, and world leader. Where did this mysterious man come from?
This volume details Brandon's history and rise to power. Before there was the Game, there was a boy.
This takes the story of the Game even further by viewing how it all started!
A must-listen for all fans of The Game Is Life series.

"IMPRESSED! SURPRISED AND CONFUSED"
That about explains it. Thoroughly enjoyed this 3rd entry, the time just flew by. Luke is great and the story engaging (you must read the first 2). Last few chapters left me somewhat confused. Granted, I am not super bright but I get most things. Is there a chart explaining all the worlds? I cant say more anything more specifically in order not to spoil it but I did go a little crosseyed, who was where and how and why. Looking forward to more!
I'm not sure I can wait for the next book to come out, great back stories explained & it just keeps building. Enjoy
"Now I'm completely hooked on the series!!!"
I will be avoiding spoilers as it would completely ruin this particular series. are the reviews criticized the offer as they feel that he starts to start with fantasy elements rather than sticking to Syfy. by the time you get to the third book you'll find that a lot is revealed in the fantasy elements really are Syfy.
There's definitely a layer of depth that puts "The Game" right on par with the Matrix (before everyone got tired of the over saturation) and a definite must-read for 2017. Book 3 starts answering lots of questions but still definitely leaves you wanting for more. I can't wait until whatever is wrong with this pre-release for the next book is corrected as I'm excited to go on another listen Bender. I've gone through the first three books in the last 4 days if that gives you any idea how much I enjoyed this story.
I genuinely thank the author for entertaining me for quite some time.
"Love this book"
I haven't loved a book series like this in years. I can't wait to start the next book
Not a book to rip apart and act like some disgruntled failed writer that's bitter at someone else succeeding where you fail.
Drawing parallels to many things familiar to me I am thoroughly enjoying this world, its characters, and the twists that were hinted at in the last book and revealed in this one.
"Amazing!!!!! Another homerun from Terry Schott!"
Amazing as always! Every book in the Game Is Life series catches you and holds you till the end.
"this was to be expected"
yes, i probably would listen to it again. the story is good and its a nice addition to the main story line.
It was a bit predictable that some story in this way would come sooner or later. It gives the story more flavour but the idea is not really orriginal.
"Classic in a rush writing .."
Book 1 in the series created a bunch of interesting possibilities. Book 2 ignored the story premises set up in book 1, and told of an incoherent set of circumstances that appeared to take place in the same universe, but were mostly unrelated. Book 3 is the story that lead into book 1, and seemed promising at first but went off the rails around the time things should have been tied together with the first book. If i had to do it again, i would read book 3 first, then book 1 and pretend book 2 and 4 are part of the author's other collection on titles that take place in the same universe but not the same story & then skip those because they are really not worth the time. Luke Daniels was brilliant as always.
"Was very much surprised by this book."
Luke does an amazing job in The Game Is Life series. He really brings the characters to life.
This book was a great cross between the two before it with an Ender's Game feeling to it. Ender's Game being my favorite series it surprised me how much I really enjoyed this book. I went into this book thinking it was another one of those filler books like so many authors do after they write a series to just keep milking the fan base but this was not the case with this book. I was written because this part of the story was needed moving forward. I am almost done with the book 4 and this book really tied the first 2 into the larger "world". Loved it!
"Don't skip this book it's essential!"
For those who are struggling to see the big picture and scope of the series, this books straightens many things out. For those who have figured it out already there are plots linking to the main storyline that you shouldn't skip. This is perhaps the best book in the series.
