Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment and Warner Bros are set to bring YA sci-fi novel Illuminae to the big screen.
The year is 2575, and two megacorporations are at war over a planet that's little more than an ice-covered speck. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it.
With enemy fire raining down on them, Ezra and Kady have to make their escape on the evacuating fleet. But their troubles are just beginning.
A deadly plague has broken out on one of the spaceships and is mutating, with terrifying results. Their ship's protection is seriously flawed.
No one will say what is going on. As Kady hacks in to a tangled web of data to find the truth, it's clear only one person can help her: Ezra. And the only problem with that is they split up before all this trouble started, and she isn't supposed to be talking to him.
A fantastically original, heart-stopping adventure where everything is definitely more dangerous than it seems.

A Fantasy & Science Fiction reader from around 5 years of age. If I wasn't reading it - it was being read to me by my father. Still love it.
One of the best science fiction books I have read for some time.
The delivery of the story is brilliantly constructed. What could be clunky and rigid turns out to be scintillating and fascinating.
The ending. Which perfectly sets the listener up for book 2.
The production values were very high and expertly delivered and the performances were top drawer. I am really looking forward to book 2.
I wanna scream at my phone and then punch a hole through the atmosphere and go and explore the universe.. if you can find a word to describe that then... I love every second of it and will definitely listen/read it again in the future, this book is beauty encapsulated in words, no more no less. I've only ever fallen in love with one other book than this one (soldier of the legion) and illuminae blew it out of the water
Really good production and put together really well! Entertaining stuff a different prospective on a disaster story zombie/ 2001 space od. But if done right this would make a great flick
Not a traditional audiobook it's a abridged book product.. But it sets the bar on audio book production
I am 35 year old who loves writing & reading and listening to anything! But I do adore the classics, crime fiction and anything paranormal.
This book told in the form of messages, reports, observation and summaries is fantastic way of telling a new, imaginitive and very clever SciFi story of corruption, conspiracy, big corporate politics and the effects it has on the everyday joe. This tale evokes so different many feelings including laugh out loud witty moments and tragically sad senarios and although it has romance, its not gushy, its more real and honest , great characters add the extra depth a story like this needs. This is a winner!!! I feel this book will be a hit with young adults and not so young adults alike.....................I can not wait for the next installment.
