Quincy Harker is walking on the side of the angels this time. Or at least beside an angel. It's the summer of 2009, and Harker, the immortal magic-wielding nephew of Dracula, has a brand-new guardian angel. Her name is Glory, and she's there to try to keep Harker from getting himself killed. Try is the operative word.
Someone is murdering Nephilim, the rare offspring of human and angel, and using their blood for a terrible ritual. Harker has to find out who the next victim is, who the murderer is, and what the plan is. All in three days. Because no matter what kind of help Heaven sent, it might not be enough to prevent someone from raising a lot of Hell.
Heaven Sent is Book Five of the best-selling Quincy Harker, Demon Hunter series. Book One of the series, Raising Hell, was nominated for the 2016 Manly Wade Wellman Award by the NC Speculative Fiction Foundation.

"I want more!!"
I really do enjoy listening to these books. I excited for the books to come. I giggled throughout the entire book. I received this audiobook for free through Audiobook Boom for my unbiased review.
"Another Hit Story"
#5 went back to an early Quincy and adds in how he met his guardian angel Glory. I hope in the next book we get more back story on Glory.
Mr. Hartness combines action, drama and creative deadly creatures of the night into something you just can't stop listening to. There is so much history in these stories because Quincy has lived a long life and being related to a Master Vampire (who is really a kinda good guy) gives the listener an awesome story line. Add in James Foster doing the narration - instant Hit Stories.
Keep them coming plz, cause I'm really hooked.

"Worth your time and credit"
Very entertaining, engaging, well written and enjoyable listen. Another great addition to the series. You know as soon as you start listening that your in for one heck of an fun and enjoyable story. My only complaint is that it was to short. All of his stories pull you right in and before you know it they are over and you still want more. For a shorter book though, as usual it is full of mystery, suspense, humor and full of action. The whole series is definitely worth the listen
Great characters. Making an historically feared, stuff of nightmares character likable is a great twist to a story line. How can you not be intrigued.
These books would make a great T.V. series.
Once again James Foster does a fantastic job with the narration. He is the perfect voice for these stories. Great character voices. Great delivery. Clearly spoken with a smooth even pace. He brings the characters and story to life. All around very entertaining and enjoyable.
I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator or publisher.
Hartness always leaves you wanting for more. The books are short and to the point, conflict, action, over. What better hero than someone with Dracula as a uncle and a guardian angle. If you know Qunicy you know what to expect, action, magic, and snarky comments. If you have not read the other novels in the series please read them. It is not necessary for enjoyment, but a few of the earlier ones are better.
This was very enjoyable since it has been a long time a new Qunicy has been released, but it was not be best. ***spoiler*** Not enough Dracula! If you are a fan, you know how enjoyable it is when Dracula goes vamp on someone who threatens his nephew. How can you have Dracula making only a cameo?
"This series rocks!!"
Being a massive fan of this series since book 1, I was thrilled to be able to listen to this one, which I received from the narrator, for free, via Audiobook boom (This in NO way affected or influenced my thoughts.). In this edition we get to learn how Harker gets together with Glory, which I loved learning about because I was always curious to see when she first appeared to him. This one also deals with Harker trying to find out who is murdering Nephilim and why.
It's hard to expand on the plot anymore because being a novella I could inadvertently spoil either this book or previous books, suffice it to say that this book rocked!! Every single story in this series has been fast paced, well written and addicting. This one being no different. The author has really created an amazing world, but it's not even the world that makes this series so good, it's the characters!
Once again, I find myself being dragged into Harkers life and not wanting to leave. He is such a snarky, foul mouthed, lovable hero and one you can't help but love!! His parents are Jonathon and Mina Harker and his uncle is non other than Dracula!!! That alone should make you want to rush out to read these books. Even with this being #5, we are still trying to figure out what he is exactly!
Anyway, this book, and indeed the series, is amazing!! It's something I think would make for an great TV series ;) ;) Love these books and I can't recommend them enough.
As always, James Foster delivered a flawless performance. He is Harker and really brings him to life!! Not once, in all the books I've listened to that were narrated by him, has he failed to deliver anything other than a brilliant experience. He is so easy to listen to and seems to enjoy these books, which just makes the listening experience that much better!! Highly, highly recommend this narrator, and this series.
"Dracula's nephew battles demons!"
Great series, read many of them already. The author takes an approach to the original Dracula legend and drags it to modern times. Runs with the theory Dracula bit Mina and johnathan Harker and their baby is a suped up supernatural creature like Blade but not vampiric in nature and is also a wizard. AWESOME!!! The narrator delivers a gritty black and white noir style narration to it that really delivers the feel of the story. Love it! Can't wait for more! "Great new entry to the series!"
I am an unabashed fan of this series. This particular story takes place seven years prior to the current stories, and deals with Harkers first meeting with Glory, his guardian angel. It also deals with a case involving dead nephilim, and who is murdering them and draining their blood. Also in town is an arch demon looking to take Quincy out of the equation. All in all, not a night of pizza and beer for Harker. Well plotted and with excellent dialogue, another great addition to the series.
James Foster does his usual top notch job narrating, bringing all the characters to glorious snarky life.
I voluntarily received a review copy of this audiobook from the narrator through Audiobookboom.
"Festive listen, ideal intro"
This is the first book - though it is book 5 of the series - that I read after receiving it as a gift from the narrator, James Foster, in exchange for an unbiased review, which I gladly submit.
This title is an introduction to the series and I was instantly consumed by the action, language, well-written story, and humor. The author's creativity and skill, coupled with an excellent performance of the book by the narrator, created a world into which I immediately connected, and wrapped myself in, like the comfort of a favored blanket, made of violence, magic, monsters, and mayhem - in no particular order - are a great combination. In hindsight, each book works well as a stand-alone as well as in series order, and this book can fit in as a 1st listen or 5th. I feel sorely equipped with words to describe how completely this author and narrator pair have enhanced my days and nights with their writing and performance skills.
Fast action, Funny Puns and updated old school style.
No, this was my first.
This was the first book in the series from this writer that I’ve read. It was worth the read.
I love the Buffy the vampire slayer and ACDC PUNs, the fast action and the magic use.
I like the almost classic Gumshoe vibe, and updated demon hunter humor.
Its really well done and I love the reader, from just reading this I am more then interested in reading the other books in the series.

"James Foster does an excellent job of narrating"
Thank you, Mr. Hartness, thank you! I have been waiting for the story of how Glory and Q met. And what a story you delivered, just breathtaking in pace and character. I have loved the Harker novellas since the first one. Now here at number 5, the writing continues to be excellent, the plot exciting and the characters true to themselves. The Harker universe is so heavy wiith potential that there should be no end to the series.
For those that are not familiar with Quincy Harker, get thee to a copy! Quincy Harker, the son of Jonathon and Mina Harker of Dracula fame, is trying to live a normal life. It is pretty much a pipe dream since his mother's affair with Dracula combined with his father's night of passion with Dracula's wives gave him some very unusual DNA. He is half human and half still trying to figure that part out. On her deathbed, Quincy's mother entrusted his care and guardianship to his "Uncle" Luke. The novellas follow Quincy and his guardian angel Glory as they fight hell spawn in Charlotte, NC. Uncle Luke helps when he can but is know to have a severe allergy to the sun.
As always James Foster does an excellent job of narrating. The books are fun to read but the audios narrated by Mr. Foster are a joy to listen to. He really brings the characters alive for me. All of them, the humans, the demons, the angels and the what the hell is that thing. The best part of the the Harker series for me is getting to hear it narrated by Mr. Foster.
I give Heaven Sent another 5 of 5 stars plus a bonus supernova for fulfilling my wish. Keep writing this fantastic series. And thank you for the first of many, I hope, back stories to come.
