"i wanted to like it..."
the narrator has a different speech pattern & i think at first it was too distracting. after i got more used to it, i felt lost in the story.
as for the story, there were just too many inconsistencies. i really wanted to like this book. it sounded like a good story. but it felt like a first attempt, so i was surprised to see that the author had several books out & had won awards.
"not at all scary"
The only reason why I finished it is because I paid $1.99 for the narration. This really wasn't a ghost story or a story of a haunting. The narration was terrible too. I will definitely not be reading the rest of the Addison Lockheart series.
"I love audio books where the reader gives the"
characters different voices, but in this case, I thought that some of the characters voices sounded pretty much the same, and they were irritating. My biggest issue with the reader was her voice for the handyman, it made me want to stab out my eardrums and do anything I could to make it stop! overall I liked the story, but will not be buying the second in the series.
"Grayson Manor Haunting"
I liked it, but I would have liked it to be more scary!!! More haunted!!
"It was okay"
Boring. Predictable. Narrator good as a female, horrible as a male. Napping material. At best
"not worth a credit"
I love ghost stories and it's a shame to me how poorly written most of them are. It's like this was written by a 13 year old. Not only the writing is weak, the story isn't scary at all. couldn't finish it. the narrator doesn't help. I suppose it's a matter of preference, but she is just too nasal for my liking. waste of a credit.
"This is a book that has everything."
Introduces ghostly murder and physics impression. I truly appreciate this book and now force to read the next. It's really hard to find the perfect book but this is it.
"Nasal narrator and thin story"
All the characters are annoyingly nasal and sound ridiculous. Especially "Luke". The story itself isn't very exciting nor scary. Disappointed to say the least!
"Good Story, Horrible Narrator"
Learning how the story was going to end. But the narrator was horrible.
Probably the last third of the book was the highlight.
No. She ruined the book for me. Her character voice of Luke was terrible!!
