Neeko's quiet evening is interrupted when a fire-mage of the king's army comes to his door demanding hospitality for the night. She says war is beginning, but this becomes the least of Neeko's concerns when an altercation erupts between his drunken father and the fire-mage, resulting in his home burned to the ground with his father buried beneath the rubble.
His only justice? A redemption scroll - payment for damages if Neeko can bring it to the king's master of coin in the capital before it expires. With the war of two kingdoms clashing amid towns, the trek will be perilous, but having a hidden talent for magic, Neeko's not deterred. Especially so when he learns his recently acquired companion, possessing her own redemption scroll, knows the land better than anyone. She may have a few oddities, like singing her thoughts and stashing weapons in occupied graves, but Neeko would put up with worse to get to the capital in time.
Now if only Neeko knew what really awaited at the capital.

its a really good story lots of good part and epic part, you just got to get this book
this book is the best cant wait the second to come out onto audio-book
"Horrible, horrible, horrible"
The reading is bad. The storyline isn't bad for someone in high school or junior high, but overall its poor logic and timeline. The mono-tone reading amplifies this effect. I would be proud if my 12 year old wrote this, but I would hope they would give it away for free....and not cost me a credit.
I would never ever touch a book written by B.T. Narro or read by Bailey Math as long as I can help it.
Make the character more likable. From beginging to end there isn't one character I doesn't want to slap a few time. None of the character I like.
Ohh wow, the book was bad, but this guy narration make it 10 time worse. I can't say for sure, the way he narrate make the character more annoying.
Not scene, at least change the narrator.
Don't buy the book.
"No games here"
Nothing, to many thing I did not like in this book. The summary made the story sound interesting but it was poorly written and very poorly narrated.
No, this reads like it was the first book from a new author. But it's not so I'm not putting myself through this again.
No just no.
Remove the rhymes they were bad and almost painful,
The characters were annoying and lacked common sense which made them more annoying. To many quirks tend to make characters unlikeable and ruin the flow of a story then they start acting up.
