Summary

In the aftermath of the uprising, the people of Silo 18 are coming to terms with a new order. Some embrace the change, others fear the unknown; none have control of their fate. The Silo is still in danger. There are those set on its destruction. Jules knows they must be stopped. The battle has been won. The war is just beginning.

Weakest of the trilogy

Would you listen to Dust again? Why?

No, it was not a well written book, simply a means to end the trilogy

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

The story did not hold up to expectation and was simply a means to conclude the trilogy story. On its own not great, as a book end, it was ok

What three words best describe Susannah Harker’s performance?

Ok at best

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nope!

Any additional comments?

Only read to finish the trilogy

Susannah Barker is bored with this great story

Great finish to the series. I want more, just like I have done with all the other books.

Susannah Harker almost wrecks this audiobook, but fortunately the story shines through. I enjoyed Peter Brooke's voicing of the second instalment a hell of a lot more.

I didn't want it to end

I absolutely LOVED this book. A very mature dystopian text with so many plot twists and turns. I was in a constant state of shock the whole way through the trilogy. One of the best series I have ever read as it remains consistently good throughout.

I listened to this trilogy at the same time as my friend. I would strongly recommend this as you will be bursting to talk about it with someone.

The finale

Brings the whole story together nicely. Great action and story development. Thank goodness back to the form of book 1.

Stuck the landing

Really good end to a fantastic trilogy. The plot really comes together well meaning the ending feels very satisfying.

Denouement?

It was better than Shift but not as good as Wool, and it seemed a little bit rushed towards the last third.
Would I recommend?
Only if you have read the previous two but I could recommend reading Wool and leaving it there.

Great book, great narrator! So any twists and turns! I’m sad that it’s the last book 🥲

Loved this trilogy

Full of hope and despair at the human race; told poetically but also realistically. What an end to a gripping trilogy of tales. I loved it!

Satisfying end to the trilogy

Satisfying end to the trilogy - answers most of the questions of the previous two books. Still think there’s room for another though!
