With nearly a quarter of a million copies sold, the world's most thrilling and best-loved military zombie-apocalypse series returns, powering toward its epic and cataclysmic conclusion.

I cannot help but think that they are now dragging the story out and filling pages with over the top individual internal dialog. When you actually review what actually happened in this book there wasn't much.
I'm still enjoying the story but I think they need to start focusing on ending the story and not hanging around too long and undermining their good work.
Like a terrible TV show, repeats of the previous books and flash backs. The book is written like a script for a TV show, drawn out with nothing being achieved. Leaves a terrible empty feeling.
A man with a child in his ears - @shutterspin.
This series has felt like a delicious guilty pleasure for some time. The heady mix of special ops elite forces, imaginatively formed and described battle scenes and of course R.C. Bray’s urgent narration style have had me gripped pretty much from the start. This was the series that first opened my eyes to just how entertaining the zombie genre can be.
It’s still a great series but to me this is the weakest book of the series so far. For at least the first two thirds of the book the main story moves very slowly as we jump between locales and characters. The good news is that all the main guys we’ve come to love are still there being the bad asses we’ve come to love them for but the bad news is that they’ve developed an increasing penchant for emotional flashbacks and introspection!
This is still a good listen and there are some of the trademark action scenes and Special ops “toughness” as you would expect. It’s all urged on by R.C. Bray who delivers as well as in the other books but it doesn’t drive on in quite the same breathtaking way. In fact it gets going and then ends very abruptly right in the middle of the action. If it weren’t for the “preview” of the next book that is kindly included I would have been just a bit irritated at where this one ended.
So, still a great and very well narrated series and I’ve already pre-ordered the next one. I just hope that it gets back to being as stellar as it has been up to now The way this one ended gives real hope for that.
May the Force be with you
Have not read print version, if the narrator is good you can't beat audio books.
I thought the story was great and I like the shift and pick up of the storyline in the various locations. For good or bad the characters do feel like real people. I don't understand why some reviewers are complaining, this book is not slow, the pace is logical for the situations that are arising. I felt the story moved along well and was as thrilling as the others in the series.
Ali the female Special Delta Operative
I enjoy most of the books from Audible. I listen when I go to bed, I generally find them relaxing....The Arisen series is having the opposite effect and keeping me awake, I'm even sneaking off and listening during the day.
This is the most thrilling and enjoyable series of books I have listened to, the depth of the story and attention to detail is second to none. The authors have built a believable Zombie Apocaliptic World which I might survive in a bit longer if the worst ever happens now that I've read these books!
Un F*CK!n Believable !
I was so disappointed in the last book but now Arisen is back, fantastic story you don't know where it is going to go next, Russians, Zombies, Movie Quotes, more information on the origins on the Virus, this book packs a lot in and I really enjoyed it, happily purchased the rest of the series now.
Having read all of the previous books its clear that the series fluctuates between being amazing and a bit poor. This book in my opinion is better than the previous one but not as good as some of the others. Its hopefully building up for a strong ending as this is fairly close to the last book.
There are some good scenes here and there but generally a lot of filler. The chapters at the end are the best and there is a good action scene at the very end. Still though, its slow paced up to that point and there is so much filler that Alpha team STILL haven't started their mission in Africa.... it feels like three books ago they were getting ready to start it.
The chapters with the battleships fighting were intense and pretty solid, I enjoyed them but they are also excellent examples of how everything in this series kind of just goes wrong several times until it would be nearly impossible to get out of it alive - and then someone will do the impossible and save the day last second.
Overall though, a pretty solid book but not near the standard of some of the previous books.
Writer, reader, now an avid listener, why hadn't I discovered this before!
As far as this series goes, it's pretty awesome. I've breezed through the books just wanting the next, and the next, this one did have a much slower pacing, with some flashbacks, and I think that was okay. It can't all be so fast-paced, we as readers and listener do need a break.
Great work as usual to both writers and of course, the narrator, he's been totally awesome throughout the whole series.
"Exciting Zombie battles continue with answers"
After reading all 6 titles previously in this series, it was nice to see some answers given, like how, why and where. Excellent. Enthusiastically waiting for the rest of the series.
R.C. Bray is simply my fave narrator, incredible range with the different characters and performance is simply outstanding. Totally enjoyed the performance.
"The masterpiece continues!!!"
Absolutely the best continuation of a story that started out strong and just keeps getting better.
Start with 0.5 and enjoy each after.
"Keeps you on the edge of your seat."
This whole series keeps you on the edge of your seat. I can't wait for the next book to become available.
"This series just keeps getting better"
Unexpected turns in the story kept me hooked.
This story grows on you and your connection continues to grow with the characters. Having several stories going on at the same time in several places makes this an edge of your seat kind of story. I can't wait for the next one!
Narration was top notch. The story ended abruptly and surprised me. Now I have to wait for the next installment.
"Wonderful story just keeps getting better!"
Mike and Glynn keep pushing out great excitement. The stories are Awesome!!! I recommend all the books!
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you. Making the series into a TV show series would be a logistics nightmare but it still needs to be done in my opinion.
"On the edge of my seat
This series has progressed to become the epitome of my idea of surviving an apocalypse. Great research and superb writing. Amazing narrator. Deserves more than 5 stars.
"Awesome as usual!"
RC Bray brings it as always and leaves this truck driver salivating for more! Hurry up dude and git er done!
"Come on Man!"
Giving reviews is not something I usually do. However the story is becoming completely outrageous! I understand dragging out the story, but can the good guys catch a break!?!?! Can they learn from their mistakes? I'm deep into the story so I'll finish it.... But I won't be picking books by these two again. All that being said R.C. Bray is outstanding as usual.
