Sie reparieren Raumschiffe, sie rüsten sie aus, und sie treiben Handel - das "Gespinst", wie sie die Station nennen, ist für sie ein Lebensraum im All. Doch wem diese Wesen helfen sollen, von dem verlangen sie einen entsetzlich hohen Preis. Als Perry Rhodan ihn hört, ist er schockiert. Um seine Mannschaft zu unterstützen, müsste er sich eigentlich weigern. Doch haben die Menschen eine Chance, sich gegen die Macht der Mehandor durchzusetzen?
