A modern adult fairy tale
The king needs an heir, and that means finding some sort of woman to do the job. "That's all it's about, ultimately: basic, carnal compatibility in order to satisfy this need. For that reason, the pictures I request of those who wish to apply are explicit. The full prerequisites are attached to the correspondence. If you aren't comfortable with these demands, don't bother applying."
Ella applies, seeing straight through the bullshit; she goes as far as derisively adding a set of pictures fitting the requirements the letter demands: a picture of her "pussy" (a fat, indolent Persian) and of her in her nightwear - yoga pants and a hoodie. In lieu of an introduction, her message reads:
Dear Daniel Franko Phillipe Del Luz,
I've applied to guarantee that I'm not summoned to your little orgy. F - k you. We aren't all stupid.
It was supposed to go through an automated system; she didn't expect anyone to read it. Let alone the king.
This novel is intended for a mature audience.

This was too funny! An almost satirical retelling of Cinderella. I love how Ms Sage worked in the magic, the humour, built up some characters for us to get curious about so we'd read more books in the series, yet this book is still very easily a very satisfying standalone. I'd say I wished it was longer, but that might ruin the lovely sharp impact it had. A really enjoyable read. You will chuckle a lot, if not laugh out loud!
"Same as written"
The story was aa cute, sexy turn on the original.
Interview and ad to narrow the field.
The narration was a bit overly dramatic.
"The prince is a fool"
The story itself is lots and lots of fun! The Cinderella reference is really just a snark that adds giggles to the whole. I've seen that some folks feel distressed by some of the language, but I found it to be within the norm of an age group, nothing more. There is erotica near the end. Basically, I loved it, and giggled throughout.
Audrey Lusk gave a really fine performance with excellent character definition and perfect snarkiness.
"Fun light listen."
This is a book you can read in one sitting. It's fast, fun and hot. Ella is a woman trying to get revenge but destiny has other plans for her.
This isn't your run of the mill Cinderella story it's more layer back and fun.
I didn't really like the narrator but the story was such fun I just pushed forward.
If you're looking for a fun quick read you can't go wrong with this story.
"Narrator ruined the story"
The story was alright but what made this horrible was the narrator! The voices she makes when the characters are talking to each other is painful to listen to.
"If aiming for humorous missed by miles"
if the author for aiming for humorous, sadly this book, which I had hopes for, missed the mark badly. It is more akin to ribald porn loosely based on Cinderella.
The Narrator was in my opinion not the best, but then again she did not have a good story to work with.
Not worth even the cheep whisper sync price. Give this one a miss, unless a lot of foul language and explicit sex all though the book, is your bag
