Conflict, action, adventure and one devastating death await readers as Eragon battles on behalf of the Varden while Galbatorix ruthlessly attempts to crush and twist him to his own purposes. Can he become a leader who can unite the rebel forces and defeat the King?

It was brilliant you just want him to continue writing and to think that he wrote the first book when he was 16 it's incredible. If you've read or seen lord of the rings eragon is about the same but with more magic in the story and bit less wars.

Story – 3/5
I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first two, but was still good enough to get a 3/5. Once again Roran’s story arc was more entertaining than Eragon’s, but even then it wasn’t very believable. I realise this is YA fantasy fiction, but it just isn’t feasible for a human to accomplish what Roran does in this book without training or practice. Something a bit more "real" from his character would have been even better.
Eragon manages to finish his training and become stronger, and we learn more about Dwarven politics – which I quite enjoyed. There was quite a lot of action, which Paolini describes very well. He is also very good at creating likeable characters.
I think the biggest weakness in Paolini’s writing is in the romance – It seems a bit too childish (maybe due to an intended younger target audience than me) and I had no interest in it as a consequence.
Performance – 4/5
As with the first 2 novels, Gerrard Doyle did a great job; each character’s voice was distinctive, and the tone of the story was portrayed very well, but Roran and Eragon did come off a little whiney at times.
He suits this type of story nicely, but I can not see him narrating a gritty, more adult novel like Game of Thrones very well at all, so if I find him narrating a novel I am considering, I will be careful about the type of story it is before purchasing.
Overall – 3.5/5
"Love it love it"
the more i read the inheritance series I hope they re make the first movie, this whole series has the ability to rival that of "Lord of the Rings"
