From New York Times best-selling author Bob Mayer writing as Robert Doherty.
Over 1.2 Million copies of Area 51 sold in print-also author of best-selling Atlantis series
Area 51 was the most secret place in America. But it was only one piece in a puzzle that stretched from Egypt's Pyramids to the mysterious face on Mars.
Part of a plan begun 5,000 years ago by those who had been here before. And are coming back.
When scientist Lisa Duncan and Special Forces officer Mike Turcotte uncovered the stunning truth about Area 51--a "training area" on Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada--they opened up a Pandora's box kept hidden from the American public for 50 years.
What they uncovered explained decades of UFO sightings--and the most baffling mysteries of history from the Great Pyramid to Easter Island.
But these findings were only the beginning. Now a signal has come in from outer space: our first contact with extraterrestrials. The message said they were coming. It didn't say they had been here before...and left something behind. But what waited deep within the Rift Valley of Ethiopia and inside an ancient Chinese tomb would determine Earth's fate. The dawning of a new age. Or the destruction of us all...

"Keeps getting better"
Why have I not heard of Bob Mayer? This story is excellent, totally engrossing. Kafer's simply brilliant.
Yes, I was impressed with the concept and development in Area 51 (the first book in the "Area 51" series.
It's a worthy follow-up to Area 51, the first book in the series.
Alternate Universe!!! is the only explanation, because some of the basic laws of physics are completely misrepresented, aerodynamics, hydrodyanmics, gravitics and factual history have the biggest number of mistakes I ever seen in science fiction.
Everything else is much better than in the first book.
Another great addition to a captivating story. Makes you wonder how much of this could actually be true.
"a really good story"
l love this story it just keeps you wondering what will be next. Good characters, cannot wait for the next addition.
"Dont do it"
No one who truly enjoyed the first
In all honestly reading the first book was great. The second tries to ride its momentum and fails miserably. The first books story makes the narration bearable. The plot truly fell apart in the second. It hurt that I listened through the entire thing.
The mysteries of History.
The most meme able moment was when they were in the cave and talking to the Germans about what was going on and why they were there. The story of the alien war and how there is life in Mars was another part that stuck with me. Not knowing which aliens where the good one and which were the bad one is a bit confusing and hard to keep up with but overall the story and book are a continuation from book 1 and just as good.
Jeffrey brings the emotion to the book.
Yes it was and I actually did listen to it all in one day not necessarily one sitting because I had to stop a few times but I finished it in one day and going on to the third book curiosity has me. I'm interested to see what happens when the aliens wake up and the results of war..
I would recommend the whole series
the story has moved on at speed and not stalled unlike some other stories in parts
Everything, excellent narrater
Well balanced performance, story moving at a good pass, like the use of lots of conspiracies to explain alien intervention.......'Dark Skies' Lives!!!!!!!
"Time to move on from 51"
Guilty, you sort-a kind-a hope that something new in terms of ideas is going to come out but it doesn't, it didn't.
Rather boring and frankly a little over the top for me. I personally only continued to read because i wanted to know what the story was behind Area 51, otherwise, i wouldnt have finished it.
