Samantha Martin didn't want the title of Iblis and all the hellish responsibility that comes with it. She sure as heck didn't want these feathery angel wings permanently affixed to her back, although those have their perks. She especially doesn't want all the extra projects the ruling council keeps dumping on her plate.
Tricked into protecting a pregnant woman, Sam discovers that her hasty vow came with a whole lot of strings attached: strings that make her question her trust in Gregory. In order to keep her promises, she'll need to rely on old friends as well as a house full of unlikely allies.
As if that weren't enough chaos for an imp, the angels finally find proof that werewolves are Nephilim - the descendants of fallen angels. An entire race is facing extinction, and their only hope for salvation is an angel from Hel.

Sam and her angel make a great team, she is as a spontaneous as ever go along for the ride, coffee and chaos with vodka too. Sam is earning her wings.
The fact that our Sam is such a likeable character, though she really is getting too good a girl to be a convincing demon anymore her imp still shines through. You just want her to get out of the mess she gets herself in and deep down know she will manage it somehow
Dont want to give away spoilers but the stunt with the durft's in Aaru was pretty good
Yes she seems to get better each book
yes it probably was though I never have time to do this
Hurry up and get Kingdom of Lies onto Audible
I know it was being recorded by Angela in September so must be finished now.
Additional note the Angel of Chaos story is a bit shorter than most of the others - there is an additional short story "The Naughty list" at the end approx 1.5 hours long. Its OK but nothing special.
"Sam's Bed & Breakfast."
I love Sam's antics, she cracks me up with her plans and thoughts. Sam is now being overrun with house guest and the resulting mayhem is hilarious. Of course if you haven’t read the other books you may not find it as humorous as me, so I recommend starting with book one, Demon Bound. The only downfall in my opinion is the narrator, I put her on fast speed because I'm not a fan of her readings, too slow for me.
This book is only 9 hours and 45 mins with a short novella "The Naughty List" that is about an hour and a half at the end.
"Another great addition"
This is another great addition to the series. Fun books to read. Lookin forward to the next book.
i really enjoy this series and recomend it totally! just started next book! check it out for yourself!
I'm so glad the narrator has gotten better(better paced reading anyway) and the storyline and character development has been an amazing journey. However more improvement good be done with the range of voices that she gives to the characters. Overall tho, I'm glad I stuck it out with this series.
The author is always amazing, and the narrator did a fabulous job, but there were parts that were obviously re-recorded and done so in a different environment that throws you off at times.
"as always... great great"
I'm never bored reading the imp series & number 6 didn't disappoint. it's as good as Sam used to be bad
"BEST SERIES EVER!!"
I have never laughed so hard in my life or been so entertained & enthralled as with this series I can't wait till the 30th for the next book!!!
I enjoyed this book far more than the previous installments. Each book actually gets better than the previous.
Sadly Wyatts character was virtually nonexistent in this one--but I enjoy her relationship with Gregory so much more anyway. Still, I wouldn't want Wyatts character completely removed
"Very good work Cant wait for the next one."
No matter how many changes happens to Sam, no matter how much power/ people / duties / she acquires. She remains consistently an Imp. She retains her core personality. And is compromised.
I like how this story expands on the title and duties of the Iblis.
Angela brings depth to each character. with inflections for each character. a impressive range of voices and very good voice acting. i would be be heartbroken to accept any other in her stead.
I find that i respond well to Sam's relationships with her household.
I would like to see more Focus on Hel and its relationship to the Iblis. It would be good to see samantha have more control/ effort on ruling hel..
"Fantastic mix of fantasy, humor, and eros"
I love this series and this book was a welcome addition to it. The characters continue to evolve as does the narrator's voice. The story is a great mix of fantasy, humor, and eros. The fantasy story, characters, and mythos is wonderfully creative and unique. There is a wit that runs throughout the book. I frequently catch myself chuckling out loud on the train. And the relationships amongst the characters is interesting and in depth. The narrator brings all this out beautifully. I am constantly impressed by how she brings the characters to life and is able to inject her own style without overshadowing the story. Big thumbs up.
