American Gods: A tale for ages to come
The only reason I start to listen to American gods was because of a friend and I have to thank him for this.
The story in my personal opinion is very good and the tone that is set for them. The world is dark, gritty, violent but can also be hopeful and funny with fleshed out characters like Shadow, Me Wednesday who steals the show. You can get a good imagination of what they look like as you listen. With a fantastic performance from the voice overs is impressive and made this audio book gold.
There have been parts of this where it created shock and surprise when it went into territory that back then was unheard of! I am happy and amazed Neil took risks to make this book and how he structured it.
It's something that even in today's modern world while different but having the same problems.
One thing I do have to say and this is just me. You really do need to listen carefully most of the time because you can easily miss the idea of what scene or lines are supposed make sense. You can be back tracking which takes up more time.
This is a really good and would highly recommend listening or even buying the book!

A thoroughly enjoyable yarn that weaves its way across a continent and through myths both old and new. Well produced with great performances.

Epic adventures!
I'm fairly new to Neil Gaiman books and have enjoyed all I've read so far - this being no exception. The story is hugely entertaining and wonderfully rambling, which keeps you hooked throughout, but it's also fascinating as one man's thoughts about America and what it 'is' - such an interesting way to look at that question.

A great achievement. A new take on Gods
the casting was amazing. Shadow and Wednesday were a great pairing. I loved the story. it was very involved but doesn't try to be too clever. only read if you can use your imagination as some of the dream sequences are as expected, weird and wonderful.

An interesting book.
I quite enjoyed this book, I think it would benefit from another listen to pick up all the little subtle bits I possibly missed but overall enjoyable.
