The long awaited second book of the critically acclaimed, best-selling Reemergence is here.
With an important diplomatic visit to the troll nation just days away, Tesser receives a phone call with dire news from Sin City. A bus is found in the desert; filled with the husks of dead bodies killed by something far from human.
Unable to break away from the crucial meeting with the ancient troll kingdom, he dispatches his brother Ambryn; the dragon of death in his stead.
Ancient mistakes are finally ripening like rotten fruit, and the black dragon must rush to the December desert of Nevada to harvest his own missteps before they transform an entire city into a necropolis before the world's eyes. And this time Ambryn doesn't have the help of his sister Kaula, so his task may be nearly impossible. At least now he has Mr. Doyle, Spoon, and a dark man with darker deeds in his past from old Europe on his side.
Not all change is good. Welcome to the Reemergence.

"Book 2 as good as book 1. loved it!"
Wonder if there is going to be more in this series. Hope so there are 7 dragons he can write about. This book had all the adventure, action, magic like the first book had. Ambryn is on the war path w/ vampires. They take the battle to Vegas where the vampires have set up shop. Ambryn teams up w/ Mr. Doyle, Spoon, and a werewolf. there is a twist at the end that I didn't see. Good book I want more.
"good book. reviews scared me."
when I read some of the reviews I was nervous but it was a very good story. Chris is able to build character depth in a short time and that makes everyone seem like better characters.
worth the time to read or listen to.
"Better than Tesset"
i really liked Ambryn more than Tesser. He is not as arrogant and is actually more caring. I hope the next book will include more of his character.
"I want more!"
Definately a good series of books, and I look forward to I'm assuming a Zaod book next if there are any. Vampires vs dragons who would have thought the story could work so well. Great book a little slow in some spots but the characters have been great so far. I wonder if Ambryn listens to emo or heavy metal more?
"The Second Dragon Roars in this Story"
This is book 2 in the Reemergence series. (I believe there are just two books so far but hopefully each dragon will get their own book.) There are actually seven dragons in the world and this second story is mainly about a dragon named Ambryn.
These dragons are quite different than you expect (due to the author's incredible imagination) and yet they are also everything wonderful you expect of a dragon too. I don't like to give away the story in a review but I'll give you a teaser- Have you ever thought of a dragon in Las Vegas?!
I enjoyed this book very much but not as much as the first book Tesser. This story was a bit "darker" but still fun.
"Awesome series. If you love dragons...."
Believability in the storyline. I care about the characters and the narration is great. I can wait to spend more time in this alternant version of our world.
"the most amazing dragon tail continues!"
what can I say but as I grew near to finishing book two I'm bugging Chris about book three! sure here has a new baby girl but...
I can see that this universe has lots of opportunity and eagerly await the next... arrrrrrrrggggg!
"Best dragon series"
since Anne McCaffrey's! I hope this trilogy will be expanded to a full series! Lots of action, surprises and, yes, ethics!!! The shapeshifting dragons are amazing and it would make Awesome movies! great job by author and reader
Chris Philbrook did it again, this is a great sequel to Tesser, the story is brilliantly character driven with the perfect balance of action. James Foster was made to perform Chris Philbrook's books, his performance is flawless. I cannot wait for the next creation!!!
"WANT the next book in the series!!"
This story is very original and enticing as an extended listen. The narrator is awesome!! I think I'd listen to anything he performs...sigh. He gives each character life and you begin to recognize who is speaking just by the cadence and tenor or the narrator's voice. Great read. I've actually listened to both of these 2X....not something I usually do. But, please, please, the next installment! Can't wait to find out what happens to Astrid!
