Publisher's Summary

The Dice Are Cast...

Death Watches and Waits

The sanctuary walls were breached and through them poured screaming hordes of night runners. About to be overrun, the survivors formed a last stand against the thousands that threatened to end their existence. Inexplicably, the night runners, who were on the verge of taking one of the last vestiges of humanity, departed, carrying the limp body of Lynn with them.

Communications with the compound failed as Jack was out searching for additional survivors, leaving him unaware of what was happening at home. A tragedy sends him rushing back where he learns about the attack and Lynn being taken. Not knowing if she's alive or dead, he sets off in search for her.

A mysterious image is sent setting forth a confrontation with Sandra, the female night runner responsible for the attack on the sanctuary. Is Lynn alive, or is this some elaborate trap? Jack will put everything on the line in order to find out.

When logical reasoning fails...

Insanity must be expected

"Great story! I wish the next one was available now"

You would think that after eight books this author's imagination would run dry on the topic of "Night Runners", but he keeps it entertaining with fresh content, including side stories and new situations for the main characters.

    "Good book, Great narration."

Well, I liked the book. It seems as though they are doing a lot of busy work in this one and not much of note happens for most of the book. And I truly despise cliffhanger books, especially when they are new books, mostly because you are left hanging the whole time it takes to write the followup book.
That being said I really like the practicality the author puts into his work. The things talked about in this series are things you would have to think about if anything ever happened like this, hey don't knock it, you never know. lol.

    "Another cliff hanger!!!!"

Very entertaining if you like post apocalyptic zombie type survival listens!!! I've listen to all of the new World Series and can't wait for the next. While this isn't normally my taste! I find the style and the narrator a little over the top. I can't help but enjoy this series!!! So much macho fun, with just enough humanity to keep it grounded. Enjoy!!'

"Great story better than the previous"

This was a very good story, with very few maybe just one scratch your head moments. Really enjoyed it. Even getting use to Jack's voice. Definitely worth the listen.

What other book might you compare A New World to and why?

    Anything by Mark Tufo

What didn’t you like about Mark Gagliardi’s performance?

It's like constantly listening to a movie trailer narration. or an overly enthusiastic radio presenter!
If he's not doing voices and just describing a scene, he's great...but he can certainly grate on you at times.

    Any additional comments?

This could make a great TV series
