Summary

Life is the ultimate game of hide and seek... and the good news is that you're it! With the combination of playful irreverence and penetrating insight that made him a legend in Western philosophy, Alan Watts investigates the surprisingly liberating concept of "the universe as play" found at the heart of Hinduism, Zen, and other wisdom traditions.

Carefully selected by his son and archivist Mark Watts, You're It: On Hiding, Seeking, and Being Found features more than 10 hours of newly restored historic talks from the "spiritual entertainer" who helped define Eastern thought to audiences in the West. Here is a rare chance for listeners to experience the enduring brilliance of one of the greatest spiritual voices of the 20th century.

One of the best spiritual books

I have read a 1000 books on spirituality and am surprised I never read Allan watts. Maybe because he never claimed to be an enlightened guru only a popularrises. How wrong I was.

Alan Watts answered questions I’d had for years, and his style is conversational and light hearted which makes easy listening

Really enjoyed this!

As always, Watts doesn't disappoint. Very entertaining and much better than listening to some edited fragments on YouTube.

Wonderful

So smart, whitty and enlightening. Fully recommend. Alan Watts is a genius, his teachings seem to have been 'borrowed' by more recent 'gurus', but I prefer to hear it from Alan himself.

Comprehensive You're it audio by Alan Watts

Alan Watts is entertaining as a spiritual philosopher who provides easily relatable information. I find him best in bite size audio whilst drifting off to sleep at night when I'm relaxed and can take in what he says. This audio makes as much sense today as it would have done in the 70's and will serve us all for some time yet.

Alan Watts, entertaining and thought provoking.

This audiobook is a great collection of Alan Watts' philosophical musings. The sound quality isn't great in places but overall it doesn't affect the experience.
