"Awesome yet simple"
As someone who has been out of management for a couple of years I picked up this book in hopes to remind myself of basic management principles. Instead not only was I reminded of things I had forgotten I also learned a lot of new material. The way the story is read, the fact that it's an actual story and not just a set of instructions makes listening much easier and learning a lot more fun. would recommend this book to anyone in management.
"The concepts just stay in my head"
This book really packs a punch. The concepts make so much sense. Even now when dealing with people, pictures painted in this book pop into my remembrance which helps me deal with the situation.
I highly recommend this book for business and church (and any) leader.
"Really Great Book on how to manage people"
The book uses analogies of a sheep herder that can be easily applied to all management situations and personalities on any team. I must read for any manager/leader.
"a few good points with a lot of padding"
it is a short book but it could have been a lot shorter - there is not a lot of content here. Having said that it is still worth reading because the points it makes are gold
"Wish I would have read this year's ago!"
Great easy to listen to book. I have been managing people for years, and I learned some profound things from this book.
"Great inspirational book on leadership"
Great inspirational book on leadership that I enjoyed listing to for guidance on managing people.
Hands down the best, most enlightening book I've ever encountered! Not only did I learn the way of the shepherd, it was remarkably well written and entertaining. I was so impressed that I decided to write the first book review I've ever written.
I am in awe of such a powerful story. I see management in a whole new light.
Principles found here are applicable to every facet of life!! I look forward to applying these in family and business. Highly recommended!
"Awesome Book of True Leadership"
The message in this book should be a standard tool for all individuals performing any type of task.
