    "Life changing information"

This is the clearest explanation on the law of attraction i.e. consciously creating the reality that you want, I have ever heard. If you are wanting financial freedom, great health and happy relationships then this book is well worth the listen. As you may have noticed the book is sold in two seperate parts. This one is the explanation of the law, the second one describes the processes for using the law to your advantage.

    "We know it already"

This book reminds us of ways of thinking that we already knew but had forgotten. It is very valuable to take the stress out of life and find true happiness

"Nice and easy listen to boost positive thinking!"

I like the introduction that explains how Ester began to experience Abraham and how the conversations evolved.

The Secret is interesting and a good way to help people get better focus of their thoughts but this is perhaps a little more intellectual.

Like it. Makes sense to me

    "Aah! So darn good."

This audio book deserves to be listened to over and over again to truly absorb, understand and implement the lessons.

One query or criticism... the 22 processes or games Jerry speaks about in the final chapter don't seem to be there.

Where can I get hold of these?

    "Spiritual teachings with spirits"
Would you try another book written by Esther Hicks and Jerry Hicks or narrated by Jerry Hicks?

They do not give great illustrations of this working.

Who was your favorite character and why?

This is a self help book and if you are new to the concept of the universe and connecting with inner voices. It maybe be a bit of hard to digest.

Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Jerry Hicks?

    Someone with a calming voice.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Law of Attraction?

I would not jump straight into talking about spirit guides initially!

    Any additional comments?

Would not recommend to people who are just starting to understand about magic and spirits. If you have surpass that stage then by all means this is a good book! Initially when first read it was too much. However, after reading several other books, I had grasp the contents they were trying to project

Prefer the hard copy to reference, hence the 4 stars. 5 stars for hard copy! Love the concepts! Was great to listen to in car first.

"Abraham enters the realm of commercialism"

I was a bit surprised to find that "Ask and it is Given" Vol 1 ended on such a typical, commercial cliff hanger. The book's content is spiritual, and it is claimed that Esther Hicks channels Abraham and other spiritual entities. Towards the end of Vol 1, much is made of the exercises that will follow in order to give a practical application to the largely theoretical matters discussed. I waited in anticipation for the 20 steps that would revolutionize my life, only to have vol 1 end rather bluntly. Of course I will now buy vol 2 in order to put Abraham's wisdom into practice. I never would have thought that these spiritual entities have such a solid grip on commercialism!

    "I'm in the minority here"

I knew nothing of Jerry and Esther Hicks when I ordered this audiobook other than it was endorsed by Wayne Dyer. Feeling the urge to branch out, I gave it an open-minded listen. I wish I shared the same sentiments as the majority of the other reviewers, but I can't. It's difficult to criticize a "puppies are good" kind of work, especially when we are generally so bombarded with negativity in its many spectra and works of a positive nature are such a rarity, but I just kept finding more reasons to dislike this book as I went along until I had to cut off my listen just prior to the end. I respect the beliefs of those who subscribe to these teachings, and I actually agree with much of what is said, but people are extremely susceptible to being told what they want to hear, and my personal belief is that Jerry and Esther are taking advantage of that. I won't elaborate further.

    "Superb & Motivational"

I think that many "law of attraction" readers & believers will enjoy this one! I most certainly did... only one thing... Jerry keeps refering to a hand-out that is supposed to come with the audio.. regarding the list of emotions on the "emotional guidance scale"... I'm still searching for that... I will come back to this review and include it as a link when I do so...
    Appreciatively,

    "Inspirational"

This book is so positive and rewarding. I love the inspiration and credible theories on manifestation and advice on how you can make changes in your thoughts and feelings to have a better life. I would like to make a suggestion though. I find that Jerry speaks too quickly for me to be able to absorb this information in a meaningful way. I slowed my iPod audiobook setting to the slow level and it is much better at this pace. It would be magic if Jerry would slow down a bit for future books. I am going to imagine him doing so now ;-). With love, Kathleen.

    "Suffers from narration..."

There is some interesting and hopeful advice in the book but the content is so repetitive and the narrative so monotone it's difficult to follow the recording. Also, the recorded version does not include one of the more important sections of the books - the exercises! Definitely stick with the printed version of the book in this case.

    "Truly Exceptional"

Acquired with an open heart but a skeptical mind. I am so grateful that I finally purchased this. A book...or book on tape...that is enlightening, clear, and can be integrated permanently into your consciousness or should I say can alter your consciousness forever.
The Hicks explain some basic concepts...or channel...about the Law of Attraction that were missing from my understanding. It is as if they stepped into my mind and answered some major questions.
I could not recommend this more enthusiastically.
    Brilliant little jewel.

    "The Definitive"

How to manifest more in your life of whatever you want - a lot of books leave you hanging, but this one gives you a simple formula. It is the clearest book I have found in many years of searching. You will easily recognize the value and truth of what is said and will see yourself in the examples. My life has changed for the better! Highly recommend!

    "Too metaphysical"

This book was far too metaphyisical for me. Because the title had a biblical reference "Abraham" I thought there would be more about scripture and the law of attraction. I just could not relate to the conversation with Abraham who appeared to be talking through Esther Hicks.
