"NO CHAPTERS AND NO WAY TO NAVIGATE!"
The Books and Chapters are not labeled and not navigable! Obviously, someone who has absolutely no knowledge of the Bible made the decision to just play it straight through like a regular book. I saw the ratings mentioning this before I downloaded, so that is on me! I just had to try it because I couldn't believe that anyone would do that! What is wrong with you people at Audible?!!!!
It's the Bible, duh! Max McLean is a great narrator and I love to hear him read the Bible, especially when I can choose what I want to hear!
Put the Books and Chapters back in!!!!!!!!!!!
You don't "edit" the Bible! You all did though and it stinks!
I was trying to download a version of the KJV Bible to an mp3 player for my 80 year old mother-in-law. Wanted Max McLean specifically and attempted this, trying to save money with the free trial period! What a waste and I would never pay $15.00 per month for a service such as this. I'm sure this review won't get posted, but at least someone at Audible will read it. Y'all need to get a clue!
"Amazon Audible Destroyed this Great Recording"
Originally the were 37 Chapters each labeled with the Title - Example "Chapter 1 - Genesis". Then Amazon/Audible removed the Title of the Chapter forcing the reader to try
to remember the name of the numbered chapter. Good luck with that if your searching for a specific chapter by name. The final death knell when when Amazon/Audible actually the chapter numbers and artificially changed the Bible in 19 Parts. So, now you can not even find a specific chapter not to mention the previously deleted titles. Obviously someone there at Amazon/Audible has zero insight into how people actually read and re-read the Bible. They think its like, say a Michael Connelly novel where you start at chapter 1 and go to the end - rather than reading and re-reading different chapters of you choice in a varied sequence over a lifetime. The dummies destroyed the uttility of this great reading by Max McLean. Overwhelmingly STUPID!
"hard to use"
Very hard to use finding what you want to hear. No index even this part sucks
"Hands down my favorite Audio bible"
Max Mclean speaks every word clearly and every sentence with passion. He isn't a boring reader, and he doesn't need to add background music and dramatic sounds to keep your mind from drifting off. (Plus, i got this for free using an Audible.com 30-day trial!)
Other than Jesus Christ, my favorite character must be Nebuchadnezzar. Just because of how humorous his literal sayings are, "I will cut you up and make your house like a dunghill!"
Oh, maybe a gaytheist might call this genocidal. But *one of* the scenes in the entire Bible that really gets to me on how evil the homos are: Judges 19, and then seeing how the tribes of Israel banded together in an effort to utterly destroy and purge every Homo out of the land in the following chapters (20 and 21.) Get a picture of why God would destroy Sodom with fire from heaven. And to think, it is prophesied in the New Testament that before the end of the world times will get as in Sodom and Gomorrah!! WHat a scary thought, but we can see that day by day with all this Homo garbage in our society.
The end of the Bible in Revelation, describing what Heaven will be like, really did touch my heart.
After much resistance and arrogance, I have come to the realization that the KJV is hands-down the absolute best (perfect, in my opinion) English Bible translation on the planet. I really had an eye-opening after discovering how bad ALL these modern Bible versions are, (first hand.)
Horrible. Will not play. Tried several books, but several I can't even tell what books they are because they won't load.
"Not good order."
It is impossible to know what book you're about to read because they are not named or in any order. Very pour visual order!
"Love the Performance"
